I know that feeling. It's been a while though. More than ten years. A nicely blossomed young lady approaches me at a hotel bar asking how I'm doing. "Great," I answer. "I've got a room here with my wife!" She disappeared in a heartbeat. I paid for the drinks and took them to where my wife was sitting. As I recall we had fun.
Well, today is a kind of mile stone for my Lady and I. Forty five years of married blitz.
Doen't seem that long ago that I met her at a gig on June 6th 1968. Seventeen years old and out in a club with her girlfriends. Once I nabbed her I never let her go!!

Congrats on 45 years!!! Nice to hear the ones that last nowadays. Too many don't work on their marriages anymore. Mine's coming up on 32 late this year.

Probably just stand there with your finger on the button, when the lightning strikes, you'll press it automatically. 
OW! Went to the dermatologist today to get some spots looked at. The girl got out a can of freeze and froze them off! Gonna fall off in about two weeks. Don't hurt unless you touch 'em. So how am I gonna sleep tonight? They were on my face!

Tripod and long exposure time. How long and what f stop depends on how close, how intense the storm is and how much ambient light there is at the time. Very happy for digital cameras. On a good/active night I might have a capture ratio of 25%. That would get very expensive with film.

I think I would rather live with a few sore spots from freezing, than go through MOHs surgery again, where they pull you nose apart and stretch the skin over the incision to cover the hole they cut in your nose.

For those that like old things, here is an early Magnavox logo. One of the founders of Magnavox was Peter Jensen who went on to found another well know company. Magnavox was founded in 1917 to market a new invention of theirs, a moving coil speaker. Most of what we listen to today is based on their technology. Makes me feel less grumpy to own an Ampeg Magnavox amp.
