I'd be proud to play in any of those bands........provided of course a roadie is provided, breaks are a minimum of 35 minutes long, payment is made in cash, and there's a huddle house or waffle house on the way home for a cool down meal. Are we lucky to be bass players or what!?!??!?!?!? Uhhhhhhhhhh I mean dam it's late!!!!!!! I'm too old to be doing this @#$&!

Recall, every time I meet someone it takes me 5 more times to remember their name.

That's got nothing to do with age....happens to me everyday. It's why I seem friendly by saying, "hi, how ya been", or "hey, you're looking really nice", or a simple "hey, man".

I'm really not that nice, I really don't care how their day is going, nor how they feel right then. It's just a way of skipping a step in the greetings because I've already met them 3 times, have excellent facial/visual recognition, but still can't remember their name.

I've no right to be so grumpy, of course. I just finished my 44 birthday; today/night. Gemini Power! Yet , the truth is: the grump is a State of Mind. Many will claim that I'm but a child! (Anyone?)
I'm an old grumpy soul; still…. finding enough laughs to keep going! I'm obviously deluded; I think my best is in front of me.
fnord!
Gemini, eh?......mine's Juneteenth.

You don't want to meet my other personality. :D

This was all really easy to keep straight until they came out with "designer scrubs" that look like pajamas and have cartoon characters, or pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, green clovers, blue diamonds, and purple horseshoes on them.

Damn, Will… You're really starting to make me believe in the Gemini thing… I got some sorta mental block in caring for the label attached to all hairless primates…

f!

I don't know what it is but I've always been that way. Some weird combination of being a gemini in a Year of the Rat?

:D
In New Orleans every year: a Gemini party is held. There's no way to know when or where except thru people in the know. It is a most impressive adventure. Live Bands, Food and Drink stands, Fire Breathing Magicians, Sheets hanging from trees playing very strange silent black and white film projections, etc.
can't remember a name of anyone there except for my guru, the fire breather and somebody connected with the Mondale's (remember? he was vice pres during Carter term). I think the Magician and myself were the only Geminis amongst our group. Apparently, it's just enough to know a Gemini to come to the dance and nobody's checking I.D.'s:woot:
as much as I can remember, I didn't tell anybody my name...
fnord!

a knowing nod amongst friends is better than stooping to language
;)

Something very strange has happened in the last three nights…
My dog Marmaduke has turned a corner: 3 days ago, I put his Advanitx on him-- drops on the neck for the bugs. He really seemed to connect that the med was going to help him and was quite docile and thankful.
Of course, the Monster still wanted his W-A-L-K. I didn't want to waste the meds by him bathing in the rice fields, so I took him for a WALK, on a l-e-a-s-h! I totally dog whispered it (steady pace, corrected with aanhh and a slight tug on his too loose choke collar--- and the mule was a happy little heeler! I was a shocked proud papa! :cigar::wacky:
Duke did great last night on lead until (THE :rollno: COACH :rollno: UP) and on the turn around back home-- did it too fast, and actually pulled the collar off of him… that's how little tension it takes for Duke to walk at heel! He's pretty close to 90 lbs, now.
Tonight, coach didn't :rollno: it up and we walked for about 20 minutes with only about 6-8 corrections. He seems to like being connected to me by the lead. (Let's face it, he can run around by himself all day and night, but craves his walk with master!).
freak of nature… he looks less like a statue now than a fine oil painted portrait of some aristocrat's dog.
still killing snakes and mice, etc., in his spare time,
fnord!
