I carry my 12" bass cabs and GK head, an all in one Behringer stereo PA head, two 12" PA cabs and two 10" monitor cabs in the back of my Subaru Impreza. I don't shake walls but we have fun... and the Impreza is some sort of gas saving setup and is pretty kind at the gas pump....
In the mid 90's I owned a pair of cabs similar to @beans-on-toast by Carvin. We (in players' circles) called them "Voice of the Theater" style after I believe Altec Lansing cabinets or some big sound company in the 70's. I had joined a band where they already had a PA and I had as usual a small 115 combo that was definitely underpowered. And the guitarist (a Lynard Skynard fan) would always crank loud when we played Freebird as an encore.
One night I got tired of him overpowering me so I set up my two Carvins with my 500 watt PA head. I then ran a line out of my combo amp into a channel. I kept the amp nearly off all night until Freebird. Then I cranked it halfway! LOL!!! The guitarist lost his place for a moment and his eyes nearly bulged out of his head. He owned a music store and after that he sold me a 215 cabinet and a Crate head (we were poor back then, now not as much LOL) and I worked out just fine without my PA backup anymore. Maybe I was younger, but those PA cabs seemed really light for their size and the amount of air they pushed out.
