It's a good day not to believe anything you read on the Interwebs.

Good one, you almost had me going.

Check - Vitessa, here!
Check - Type 800 and 95 camera (along with the full set of accessories for the 95) models, and 545 sheet film holder (at least one, maybe more).

I have to look through a box of cameras a friend gave me a couple months ago; I know there is a Kodak Stereo camera, a classic Argus C3, Exakta Varex, and lots more old goodies in there! Probably, some junk too, that I'll have to unload.

One of these day I should (try) and make a complete inventory of all this stuff. The only enlarger I have here is a DeJur 6x9 model.

OOoooo, Jeff! Could you make your own custom ViewMaster reels with that!?!? I absolutely LOVED those when I was a kid! Shoot, even now!!

@Jeff Scott, or can your Kodak Stereo camera do something like this?!?

I see tourists intent on photographing historic buildings. They click and rush on, never seemingly taking the time to take in the moment.
I've witnessed this on Christmas Day 1986. I was on Sentinel Bridge with my 4x5 setting up to make a photograph when a bus full of Japanese tourists pulled into the turnout across the street and the touristas were were "vomited" from bowels of it. :D They swarmed around me like a cloud of gnats for about five seconds, just long enough to "take a photo" of the scene and then they all disappeared back into the bus and were gone, like an apparition!

No weird modern digital effects, here.

Research stereo photography and learn what was around long before the world turned into just a bunch pixels to manipulate. ;)

I saw a 3D iMax movie years ago. You had to wear glasses. It was quite interesting. They also had a collection of holographic images that were impressive.

You can laser scan an object, collect detailed data, render, and 3D print it. But affordable technology for viewing 3D images seems to be lagging. Lasers don’t cost all that much.

It might appear my own bass is an eligible member of GOFs.

Yes it was 40 years ago. Forty years. Mon dieu. And I writed EBMM to say, hey you have any infos about the manufacture date of my bass? And, like some of us here, that's too long ago for those records, Ernie Ball had no part in it in 79, but here is a handy link you can use to compare your serial number to others.

Completion date uncertain - unless I pull the neck to look in the neck pocket. And that is totally not going to happen. Closest serial numbers put it in March or April.

The original foam mutes on the bridge were so old they were petrified nubs. Cut some packing foam that came with the Elf and it works. Not really sure why I want to use the foam mutes with roundwounds. I could put flats on it. Not sure why I would want to. Possibly - probably - the 'Ray came new with flats. They were promptly replaced with Rotos because that's what the cool bassists were using. Until I got tired of them losing their magic in one rehearsal, and switched to Dean Markley Super Rounds.

Those are the same strings still on the bass when I pulled it out from under the bed after a lifetime of Other Stuff (TM). The Ray always seemed to me a natural home for roundwounds. Two basses, two distinctly different tones. Might be the tonewood. Might be the high mass bridge or how about all them things together. Or not.

It's about now that I celebrate My 'Ray's birthday but not on April 1 ....
