Where? Last time I googled them there was one left in the whole U.S.<EDIT> Lake George, NY.

..and it was closed for a number of years after the owner was charged with some type of abuse crime, at least according to an article I saw some years back. I do believe it re-opened and is now up for sale as part of a redevelopment plan/effort. There certainly isn't much left of the names that stand out from my youth, especially in the car industry, consumer appliance and electronics industry or big chain retail business.

What I’m taken aback by is that I thought “Magdalena’ was Hilarious as a 20 year old.

Pretty sure there's no recall of seeing an actual Studebaker Hawk IRL. Zappa's guitar playing drew me to buy Yet Another Frank album until he began releasing more than I could buy. That is around 82 or so and hey everybody buys an album so they can record it to play back on cassette in the car.

One cassette of what was once a collection survives. It is my copy of our band's demo that we actually used to book gigs and earn money. I know, weird, innit? A few covers, a few originals, our guitarists were into twang and Fritz taught himself The Black Page. By ear. Finest drummer I ever had the honor of calling a friend. Last known fix on Fritz is near Bern, IIRC.

Yeah, every word, every nuance. And personally asked The Bass Player Who Absolutely Knows about the Edgewater Inn and he says the film exists and nobody is ever going to see it or where it is

Reindexed the Zappa database and while I'd forgotten the lyrics , the music itself for Magealena always sounded like sex to me.

There was a Talkbass GTG a few years ago within easy walking distance of the Edgewater. My wife and I stayed there, it's actually a very fab hotel these days. Great celebrity pics in the lobby too.

It sounds tighter than I would have recalled; guitarist was a monster player. Unfortunately, we ran a board mix with mostly stage monitors for stage sound and recorded from that, but I had a bass amp on stage which means the bass is low in the mix. But it's still fun to hear it after so many years.

As for Studebaker, I'm pretty sure I've seen a Hawk or two but I don't recall seeing one too recently. Cool old cars.

I have some videos from 81-82 from the band I was in at the time. Shot on a camcorder. The built in mic didn't pick up the bass very well(TBird>SVT>810 cab)but the group was tight. Play list was typical Miami Beach hotel lounge songs: everything from NY, NY to Celebration and all in between.

Last evening we were taken to an all you can eat buffet in what was the Jockey Club at Aintree Racecourse. I took the larger plate and asked for some Gammon Ham. He dumped a couple of Sausages on the plate and put the ham next to them. I asked for some Turkey and, by cracky, he took some of the Ham back off! I asked why and he told me the meat is served by weight! All in all everything was OK but certainly was overcooked. Still Family company made up for anything lacking.
