)When we were young we used to go "out the road" and dig for clams a extremely low tide. Mom would then make a delicious homemade clam chowder and corn bread. Now we can't dig there anymore because of the pollutants in the water caused by a fairly new addition of a boat launch that's polluted the entire area. Also killed off most of the clams.Last time I had them was from a seaside shack preparing them fresh from the harvestors.
