Oysters!!?!? Not for me, thanks. But come on by and we'll take you to Li Wah (official RRF Chinese restaurant) for some great Chinese food, usually dim sum for us. And you can have mussels, if you'd like, I'll take the char sui.

A sample of the RRF Sunday brunch after RIO!!!, in June 2008.

The faithful! The ones who stayed in town long enough to savor Li Wah's cooking.

This group represents Ohio, Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and New Hampshire. We had folks in from all over the US, and Canada and England for this one. :) Note the guy in the black Jetglo Rickenbacker shirt.

For some reason, all the women decided to take pictured rather than model their favorite Rickenbacker instrument!

Well, I see @two fingers made it there! But that's not how I pictured the 47 year old male?? :woot:
.

I was chatting in a thread about the 50th anniversary Woodstock cancelled and mentioned something about how our generation stood up en masse against authorities for things they believed in. Some simpering millennial made a snide remark about the word en masse and I posted him a response on how to look up an expression using Google. Sheesh, the young generation is so sarcastic and crass online. I'm going to stay over here on my lawn. :bored:

Last time I had them was from a seaside shack preparing them fresh from the harvestors.
When we were young we used to go "out the road" and dig for clams a extremely low tide. Mom would then make a delicious homemade clam chowder and corn bread. Now we can't dig there anymore because of the pollutants in the water caused by a fairly new addition of a boat launch that's polluted the entire area. Also killed off most of the clams.

Been a while since I've had fresh clams. Yum!

When you can’t dig unpolluted clams in Alaska, the world is in a pretty sorry state.
