... ... . Where's the blame shifter?... ... .

No, it's not a Ghostbuster, it's a Blame-Thrower!

The problem with a theme song, as I see it, is we're talking about musicians. And once a musician learns a song it can never be un-learned. It's bad enough I can hear Iron Butterfly without even alt-tabbing out to the 'Tube for a memory refresh. It's what is called Spending Time With a Record Player.

In that view, offering Earache My Eye as a theme song nominee. Long odds, folks.

Having known them and Chong's father, Pops, back in the '60's in Vancouver, BC, I can't comment on this.

Good morning GOF's! Happy Friday. Please report that all appendages toes etc accounted for. The heat has gone down and the smoke has dissipated so Sitka finally started cooling down yesterday.

In other minor news, I received my new bass cab from one of the kind TB'ers on TB, and I'm totally blown out of the water. It was economical enough for me to afford it, even with shipping. It's a copy of the DNA DNS112 Micro. The thing weighs 29 pounds and because of its extra large port it sounds HUGE! I'm puzzled because the cabinet looks brand new and was even wrapped in its original plastic wrap. The cab pairs perfectly with my MB200 because it's a 4ohm speaker, so I can coax the full 200 watts out of the 4ohms that the GK MB200 offers.

My Ibanez SR100 P-bass copy cost me $179. It was in such bad shape the seller refunded my shipping which was $40. Now it sounds awesome since I cleaned it up, put new strings on it, and gave it a good going over for neck and bridge adjustments.

I think we're going to get together with some friends and start planning an "end of season" city wide dance at the local convention center. It's when everyone who's visiting--college students, young people, etc.-- get ready to leave after their seasonal jobs end. There's always a lot of food and people there. Looking forward to wishing all the kids a safe journey home!

So what say ye, GOF's? What are you up to this weekend?
Nice little rig there Will! How does it compare to the GK and Eden cabs?

As for roll call, I'm hoping for a quiet, catch up on stuff at my own pace kind of weekend...sometimes it's nice to just get a break from having any obligations or hard deadlines to meet. :)

Ok, reporting in, albeit tardy...do I need a note from my mom? I seem to be reasonably functional. Working on my second mug of coffee (organic fair-traded rainforest-certified).

Plan for the day includes supervising my weekend volunteer crew, approving adoption on a Congo grey, rejecting adoption on a macaw, and mentoring a young man who wants to open his own shelter. I suspect there'll be a nap in there somewhere as well.

Music? We keep an acoustic guitar in the shelter. The macaws like the blues, cockatoos are headbangers, and the amazons dig salsa...so, I'll probably give them some Clancy Brothers or Alias Acoustic Band.

Hey @Al Kraft the cab is definitely a sibling to the Eden/Nordschow legacy! If you note the big port the cab sounds very deep for its size. Last night at work I set up a small pa and played some songs. It was very loud at 2! As for GK, I haven’t had the pleasure to play a GK cab larger than 112 so I can’t compare.

Enjoy your moments of quiet, they are few and far between. :)
