Me, three. Woke up at 4, worked on a photo project, went back to sleep at 6 and woke up at 10.

Everyone is out of town so it's just me...much quieter...maybe that's it.
It doesn't bother me much when I don't have to be anywhere in the morning. But this week and next I have fairly early jobs, which makes it more stressful to have to worry about getting enough sleep.

Friday morning in my parking lot at work... a little foggy....

To lift the boat in and out of the water. It looks like the boat is elevated. What is it in contact with the hull?

The boat is put in and out of the water with a trailer, at the ramp. The boat in the picture is in the water, tied to the dock, on the far side and at the bow. Am I missing something?

Well, after this post by @spiritbass, I am beginning to think we need a TalkBass Fishing Club! What do you all think? If it can't be done here, I am open to suggestions...thoughts?

That would take up some bandwidth. ;) Speaking of, when I was out Monday, working a crank bait, it got hung up. When I went to retrieve it, I pulled up an old line with an ancient crank bait on it. I've never caught a lure before! Catching a crank bait with a crank bait - I should be in the Department of Redundancy Department. I think crank baits should be the official GOF lure. :D

Of fishing ...

A couple weeks ago woke to a clip from The Mighty Boosh called [The Legend of] Old Greg. It begins with a fishing scene and goes all the way to "did I really see that?" (prolly NSFW). In which we learn what funk really is, and what happened to Bootsy Collins ("nobody listens to Parliment"). The funk bit comes later, after the I Love You dance.

One of my exes was an avid fly fisher, so I learned to fly fish when we were together. I could cast a fly pretty well, but I didn't much care for actually having to dislodge the hook from the fish. We were mostly doing catch and release and I felt sorry for the poor things. I used to tamp down the barbs on the hook to make it easier, but it was still sometimes pretty difficult. Guess I wasn't cut out for fishing, at least not fishing for sport.

My mistake. I was viewing the image on my broken iPad. The dark shadow color of the boat was substituted with a bluish color running the length of the boat. It made it look like the boat is on a support out of the water. When I use my proper computer, I see it properly.

I know what you are saying...but that is why barb less hooks are used for fly fishing.

Aahh, that explains everything...here I thought I was having another "senior moment" !;)

Good morning GOF's. Please report front and center all appendages, fingers toes, etc. here and accounted for. ... ... . What say ye, GOF's? What have you planned for this weekend? ....

Reporting "front and center all appendages, fingers toes, etc. here and accounted for." as requested, sir! And, fortunately, "dat's da facts, Jack", too.

I'm playing hookie from my usual gigs this weekend! New grandpup being christened Sunday morning in another state. Mrs. Dog and I volunteered for snuggle duty (me)/diaper duty (her) on Saturday so the new parents can do whatever they need to be presentable for Sunday morning. As a reward to Mrs. Dog we'll visit the big farmer's market/produce farm near grandpup's house on Monday morning before heading home.
