GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings, love em

How would these sound on an Ibanez SR? I'm looking to use it for functions and all kinds of other gigs. P/J pickups on the thing, too!

They might be the most versatile, all around string there is. Everything that's great about rounds minus finger noise. Mine are brand new so they're waaaay brighter than I prefer, but they apparently mellow nicely.

[...] And unfortunately right now, neither the Pressurewounds nor Brite Flats come in a scale length long enough for through-body stringing.

I'm working on that issue.

Glad to hear it! Please keep us updated. I recently tried putting a set of long Pressurewounds on my T-40, and they were too short for its string-through-body design. I'm going to try a set of Ken Smith Compressors, but I really like the Pressurewounds...

EDIT: I got the medium light Compressors (44-102) onto the T-40 and they sound great. Not quite as bright as the Boomers I had on there before, but very balanced and clear. The gauges are almost identical to the Pressurewound medium lights. Tension, feel, and tone are pretty much identical. If you need extra-long Pressurewounds, these work!

Please double check that... My orders for 7700 7500 were cancelled.

Yeah, I was with Melissa and saw your email when that was initially cancelled. We don't have any pre-packaged sets, but have a decent number of singles that can easily cobble together sets if need be.

I'll check tomorrow and get you actual numbers.

Hi

I have a Fender Squier Short Scale bass with Fender 9050 CL strings. This makes my bass sound like a 50 bass. This is what I want.I just purchased an Ibanez Miko short scale bass .I also purchased a set of GHS pressurewound strings.I'm told this bass should sound different then my fender because of the strings and the Ibanez bass. This is what I want so I can change the sound on some of the songs our band does. Can anyone tell me how it may sound different then my Fender bass.I've never had two bass'es before and I've only played a bass with the 50 sound. Another question may be if needed, how do I adjust the setting on the Ibanez to make it sound as it should sound, different.I hope this makes some sense, but I'm only use to my 50 sounding bass.
Thanks
