Gibson 2019...seriously?

I’ll respectfully disagree. The ‘pastel’ colors, if you will, are akin to some of the best-selling colors in Fender’s palette. Gibson is trying to turn a profit and appeal to a wider audience; maybe a tactic like this is an attempt coax some Fender fans that feel Gibson’s selections have been too drab (no pun intended). The yellow is remarkably similar to TV Yellow, a very popular color particularly in the Gibson Les Paul Junior and Special series. The walnut and heritage give Gibson diehards what they keep coming back to Gibson for. The olive is the only real ‘outlier,’ but contrasts well with the tort scratchplate.

I say kudos, Gibson!

Yeah, also, I think it's moreso a retro thing - since these instruments are from a different era

The SG is probably my favorite solid-body electric guitar design. The double cutaway, light body and lovely neck make it very comfortable for me! However, I still prefer the cherry red (with the wood grain showing through).

For me, cherry is the only color for an SG. YMMV

I wonder what some of these would look like with the wood grain visible. I like these colors a lot, but Gibson’s do seem to look most “natural” as hunks of wood.

I like most of the colors, would look nice on their new reissue EB-3.

I think those bright colored SG's would look a lot better without a pickguard.
