Looks like they have an Ebony T Bird too.
And ebony SG is available for pre-order at Sweetwater. ..sweet...always wanted a black SG/EB, never had one...that's likely to change in not-so-distant future...

I have a Heritage Cherry SG Std. on order from Sweetwater. It should be in Tue. the 7th. The four Walnuts look nice, and I was very tempted to preorder an Ebony. But one of the two Heritage Cherry yelled my name. I've always had a liking for Heritage Cherry, since my 1969/1970 EB0 back then.
That is a sexy beast. Word of advice: if it plays well, hold onto it!!!!! I learned my lesson when I traded off my original Faded Cherry SG. My ebony Faded replacement isn't going anywhere!
On another note, I'm glad that Gibson started making SG basses and Thunderbirds again. These classic models need to be preserved!
I'm glad as well. I let too many of these EB/SG style basses go to others over the years.

I had a 2014 Walnut that I didn't hang on to. So I thought I'd snag one.
Walnut is yet another under-rated color option in the modern SG Bass. I know they probably won't, but I'd love to see Gibson release the SG (and T-Bird) in Pelham Blue. I know that Epiphone did a run a couple of years back, but I want Gibson to do it, too! I had a chance to pick up a Les Paul Jr. DC Bass used last year in Pelham Blue, and I didn't. Whoopsie!

Years after selling my EB2 I finally rejoin the ranks of Gibson players with this EB 5 string. Bought new a few days ago but new old stock, it was made in July 2013. Love the light weight, (7.49 lbs) the Babiscz bridge and the pickups seem good too! Do I get a club membership?
In 1968 I had a Pelham Blue SG Jr. six stringer. I loved the color, and that was my last six stringer before going to bass.
Sweet. Would be great if it had a couple of speed knobs along with four bell knobs for the parametric eq. Nice to have an active passive switch. I'm guessing these pickups couldn't possibly be tapable as well could they?
Speaking of sweet. Sweetwater has them on pre-order for $1699...now that would be a lovely Christmas gift for myself but this is definitely one of the basses that I'd need to try before purchase, and that's not going to be easy. Neck profiles on recent Gibsons - apart from SG - haven't been to my liking.
Pleasantly surprised with the active electronics and the price tag. Disappointed with the lack of ebony fingerboard. But am beyond thrilled to see the RD re-issued to begin with...

Most likely they are. They look exactly the same as the DeCola pickups of the EB and TB2015. Those can be switched to single coil.
