yeah, it was a REAL bummer. No idea what kind of trussrod was put in there but the headstock wood was carved out to accommodate that thing...

1100 they are out of there f'ng minds, dreaming man. I got my nice '78 for 450 with ohsc. that was a few years ago but you can find a nice one for alot less that $1100 bucks. I slagged Grabbers off when the first came out to gimmicky for me. Gene Simmons sure put one to good use. Build quality is very nice given the era and compared to what Fender was putting out a the time.They are a great rock bass loud and ballsy, very aggressive sounding.

Thanks. Sorry, Im new around here. I really like it too. I was afraid at first to let her pick the color. Everything I have is eventually gonna be hers so I figured I better get the color she wants. I gotta get 2 saddles (I think there called saddles). It only came with 2 when I bought it. It didnt have a pickguard and all its guts were in a plastic sandwich bag. Who ever owned it before me needs a spanking. They were really rough on it. But man it has great sound. Its ferociousness through a distortion pedal is a thing of beauty!

The nut is at the end of the FB on my Grabber and Rippers.

This one was about 1/8" off the edge of the neck - hanging off on the low side, empty wood on the high side. Got it sorted now though.
