What bridge did you put on that? My bridge is pretty much rusted in place. At least it is intonated for now.

I have done club numbers for a few years, but l am rarely on the web anymore. Somebody else will need to do the numbers.
I prefer not to officially be in the "Club". That way I still think I have way cooler basses than anyone else.
Numbers? If the Squier owners club doesn't need numbers; WE don't need steenking numbers!

Been a while since the last post in this forum, but i have a question for all the grabber users: Is the headstock on an angle or is it straight like fender headstocks? Reason i ask, i'm building my own, just wanted to know.
My Grabber (G-1) has a straight headstock, the two G-3s I have are angled. The reissue Grabber I used to have also had an angled headstock too.
What year is your grabber? It'd be cool to know if they added angle to the headstock over the 10 year time period.
While browsing the club looking for grabbers & the headstocks, i've relazied that there are two versions of it: angled and straight. The way to differenciate them in just picture is simple...Look at the nut. If the nut is slim & on the fingerboard (like a fender), the headstock is straight. If the nut is fat and at the end of the fretboard (like gibson usually does), the headstock is angled. In conclusion, my build is going to be with an angled headstock of 10 degrees.

Just nabbed an '82 G3...never seen one this color in person. Looks like the same red they used on Victory basses
My first bass, a 1976 Ripper. I got it in 1983 for something like $225. It was my only bass until I got a fretless Wishbass six years ago.
As far as preferred sounds, mine isn't wired stock. It was messed up when I got it. Had a local tech rewire it. Ended up with a slightly different order and I have neck only as #2 position, but no bridge only position. I've used that neck only position most, especially finger-style. I like the very popular parallel in phase position (#3 on stock wiring, #4 on my bass). I also like series in phase (#1 on stock wiring) played near the bridge, muted and with a pick.
Oh yeah, I don't really use the series out of phase position much. I've even mapped out how it could be rewired to change that position to bridge only, but haven't taken the time to actually do all the wiring work.
I swapped the original bridge for a HipShot bridge, mainly because it offers individual string adjustments.
