I was going to say Ibanez like this. But not a match.

A Gibson copy from the Far East, no EB Gibsons in that style made with a bolt-on neck.
I'd venture it would be as cheap if not cheaper to find something similar in one piece and playable than it would be to fix that one. Chances are you're going to need to buy a whole one to salvage a neck for this one, so I'd just do that and skip the transplant.

I would say VERY low end 70s. Bolt on neck. The binding on the neck brings back painful memories of nearly unplayable Woolworth's basses.....

Wow. I haven't seen those knobs in a while. I had them on a 60s Japanese guitar that I have yet to see another of on the internet.

That is a sweet find. I would either get a replacement neck or use that neck and install a headless system on there. It's definitely a cool bass and I wish you luck!

I have a 2 Yamaha and an Ibanez mikro
I save guitars and do them up . Problem is I usually fall in love with them and don’t sell them on like I’m supposed to.
I'd definitely feel good about keeping it after you get it playing. They are cool and unique since they don't have the following that say Fender and Rickenbacker have. Which is a good thing honestly. If it's bolt on you should be able to fit another neck on there if you don't like my crazy headless mod idea. Lol I love my hohner headless and I've become a fan. I hope the pickups work and that you get it cleaned up nicely. If it plays I bet it'll have some wicked mojo going for it!I have a 2 Yamaha and an Ibanez mikro
I’m probably gonna really offend u now but I did a hohner another dump rescue . Not headless but defo different .

It's funny you mentioned that. I had a guy from work come in with an old acoustic guitar he saved from the trash. It had cracks in the body and missing a bridge. It was f hole style. Really cool. It's crazy how stupid people could just trash an instrument!!! You're an angel for rescuing them! that's my headless bass I was referring to.

Yours will be after you're done nursing it back to health! Interesting fact is that they use the same parts as the steinberger basses they are copying. Also after Ned Steinberger sold his design and his company Gibson bought it and produced them for a bit. They still make a few I think but now they changed some things. I'd really love to see how your bass turns out after it gets restored! That would be an awesome project!
