GK Combo Shootout...MB210 vs. MB212

No one seems to have them. I also fear it will show up not working and I will have waited over a month for nothing. I have loved all of my GK gear in the past. Sold my 1001RB and an SBX+ 410 to get the 212MB. Still have an old 200RB that is amazing for being almost thirty years old. Just not good at waiting for something that might work with so much other gear on my radar that I could have right now.( End of childish rant )

Totally understand man. If it means anything to you, Erik at RMC said the first batch had all the bad ones that didn't work. Mine has been flawless and I didn't baby it at all. Yours should be from a later batch so it'll probably be fine.

My wait begins for the 210MBE cab. I ordered it yesterday for my MB210 combo. I'm curious how it will sound, both tone and power.

Today I plugged my MB210 into a Peavey 410 cab...
oh boy... that's a lot of bass. It was so awesome.

My drummer was saying he wanted to hear more bass because it was so nice and we were just groovin so good so what I did was essentially turn my MB210 combo which was on top of the 410 combo towards him. So he essentially had his own personally monitor of nothing but bass and then I had the 410 pointing out towards me.

I mean, what is there to say? It was loud? That's an understatement!
Most importantly, however, the sound was clear and each note sounded like it came with a complementary punch to the face.

I was in heaven. I'm sooooo glad I went with the MB210 for that option.

For anybody that was thinking the MB210 might not be able to power a 410... this was proven very wrong tonight. It's got plenty of juice, punch, pop, bam, wham, blam, thank you ma'am!

Simply awesome! :bassist:

I sure hope the additional 2x10 I'm adding sounds good. I have a good feeling about it.
Glad you got to try the 4x10. Good to know the 500 watts will drive the 4 10's.

you'll definitely like the 210MBE. I'm back to considering going after the 410MBE myself but either way you can't go wrong.

unless you're playing some massive venues, I don't think you'll ever find yourself in a situation that the MB210 + 410MBE couldn't handle. I would imagine the 210MBE will also take care of you in almost any situation.

I would love to try the MB210 + a 210 just to see how big the difference is between the 210 and 410.

all I know is that this amp is awesome!

Hey Guys,

I ended up buying an mb212... one question: on the back of the amp where the power section (head) attaches, there are only 3 screw heads -- 2 at the AC input, and one near the GK manufacture stamp. But, there are numerous threaded inserts back there -- I'm not missing any screws, am I? ^_^

sounds to me like you are dear... :hiding:

the screws on these definitely come loose easily. important to check them often.

Wow, that's amazing... I just bought it new from a major mail order place with 3 numbers in its name. Photo attached.
