GK new MBP Powered Enclosures? (More info please!)

Anyone know how to get more info on these new cabs? Do these powered cabs have tweeters and if not would they still have enough upper mids to compete with my hartke 4x10XL?

I'm thinking one of these and my Kern preamp might be the way to go. :bassist:

Any word on the release dates for the new combos and powered extension cabs? Is there still a planned exchange program for swapping your mark I combo for mark II?

I just bought an MB800 and it is the head I've been waiting for twenty years, but honestly an MB115 with a MBP115 is going to be more useful to me in the near term.

Folks,

I bet I'm not the only one with this particular interest:

I'd like to feed a MBP with just a DI or standalone preamp of my choice. The images on the website cast doubt on this being possible. But I'm hoping this is actually a standard line-in scenario.

Can anybody shed light on this?

If you will read through this very thread, you will see that Bob Gallien himself has already addressed this question. His recommendation was that it was a bad idea to try and run an MPB off of the DI from another preamp, but it also sounds like it would be possible if you have a high enough output.

I just sold my walkabout :crying:
Need some thing lighter, extendable and good for doubling.
The design of the new MB-II and MBP's have a LOT of appeal to me. I am thinking the 1x12 and matching powered cab. Seems the perfect choice, BUT i cannot find a retailer showing them.
Sweetwater lists the MB-12-II, but not the MBP-12.
Anybody tries one of these?
Anybody try the pair?
