Had mine on my board for ages and just couldn't quite get the sound I was after (never spent enough time on it I guess).
The other day I decided to roll the tone knobs back so it wasn't fizzy sounding and with a bit of tweaking have now nailed this killer synthy fuzz I have been after for over a year now, so stoked!!

Used it at my 2nd to last gig with my soon to be old band last nite actually. I loves me Gnomes!!
In fact the new band I'm in, the Gnome will pretty much be used for my standard sound.
Nero,what kind of mini Gnome did you get? I was thinking about getting one but never got around to it. Can you tell me about yours?
Still waiting for my VTF. Anybody care to share fave settings? I know that there are differences with diodes etc but yeah. I ordered standard diodes and I got a starve control. Thanks.
I got the octave-up version. I mostly use it combined with an octave pedal and a filter for synthy tone mangling, and it's a BEAST! It also performs well as a stand alone fuzz, but I bought it primarily for synth purposes. The build quality and finish is excellent, I really dig the hidden LED!
Plus, McSpunkle is a really great guy to work with. Highly recommended!
That sounds cool as hell. Did you go through his FB page to order one? Do you have any sound clips?
So, on McSpunkle's Facebook page he said that he's going to sell through a dealer network. Any idea which dealer(s)?
I ordered it by e-mailing him directly, but I can see that's not an option anymore. Try shooting him an e-mail about which dealer will be listing his stuff, he's a great guy and takes good care of his customers.

My Gnome got here today. It has 2 little switches above the trimmers, anyone know what they are? Here's a pic, I got a starve control as well.

You can check all the Mini options out on his ILF page. I've had my Gnome for a while now and it was definitely worth the wait. There are so many good sounds to be had. My only real complaint is that it is really really farking loud. If I bump the fuzz volume a c hair further clockwise than I intended it goes from unity to crazy. Mostly I keep it set with both diodes on, tone switch in the middle, cleanish at around 9(o'clock), cleanish tone at around, fuzz volume at around 7, gain cranked, gate around 9, fuzz tone around 4. Sometimes I flick the octave on with this setting and add more gate, sometimes I flick the first diode out for a more meaty sound. I haven't really messed with the trimmers too much. I turned diode 2 up to about half of the knob travel and turned the cleanish up a lil'.
The 2 switches I was asking about are feedback and oscillation points. You can get some really synthy sounds with these switches and some gate manipulation. I also have a starve control on my Gnome but I haven't really messed with it too much. I seem to get similar results with the switches. Super fun pedal. Hopefully he starts selling them on FuzzHugger soon as that was my only problem with this pedal. McSpunckle is a really nice guy but he's a little bit flakey(my pedal was built for over a month and he forgot to ship it to me

So who still has there Gnome and how are you using it(settings etc)? Two of the settings I've been using alot lately are cleanish at 2(o'clock), cleanish tone cranked, Fuzz at 7 gate at 10, Gain cranked fuzz tone at 4, diode 2 switch to the left diode 1 switch in the middle position, tone switch in the middle and same settings as above with the octave switch engaged. My trimmers are set like this: first-all the way down, second 10(o'clock), third 2, fourth 2. The first setting is a pretty thick sound fuzz and the second is Brassmasterish.
