No roadies here. Just bandmates. The people I play with understand that I love my tone on my Traynor + Ampeg 810 and they like how it fits the overall sound, so they help me load, unload and carry it around when needed.

Which is also why I have no problems helping my guitarist carry his Marshall amp, 412 cab, his guitars, my drummer's cymbals, kit, whatever... everybody helps out.

If any of you guys have band mates that refuse to help you with your gear, then... wow.

I will say this: When you show up with a 4x10" for your bass and your guitar player has a 100 watt head and 4 x 12" there really is an intimidation factor. My senior year of High School the band I was in (stoner rock/metal power trio) showed up with that backline and our drummer full kit while we were all wearing work clothes and boots. The bands that followed us, showed up in school clothes with small combos, laptops and drum pads. It was really interesting to see the reactions of the crowd and how the sound changed between acts. In reality we completely overpowered the room but it sounded like a metal concert. In between acts I was outside getting some air and a few of my friends said that they were leaving because the 2nd and 3rd bands 'just didn't sound like real bands.'

I always wanted an 810 for a situation like that right up until I bought my DNS-410 (by DNA) back in 2015. It's just crazy loud, clear, articulate, and I have no fear at all of 100-watt Marshall amps with either one or two 412 cabinets. Max SPL on my DNS410 is 137db. It will handle 1400-watts rms both thermally and mechanically, although running my 800- watt Eden amp into it will only drive it to perhaps 134db. I tried to turn the master on my 800-watt amp up to 10:30 at an outdoor festival with wide-open area and was told to turn down. So 10 o'clock is the highest I've been able to run it so far.

Sorry to sound so uneducated and green but, how do you use multiple heads in a single rig?
For example, 2 or 3 SVTs, do we split the bass signal? I didn't think a vintage SVT had a "line-out"...
How did Jaco use his multiple Acoustics? Did he just run his delay in stereo and put one on each side???

Split signals or cabs like the modern 810, where you can use the top 410 separately from the bottom 410.

This is proof Leo knew exactly what he was doing when he designed the Jazz Bass. Never has a bass and a bassist been such a perfect pairing.

If I recall. He would run into one straight or unaffected then into the MXR delay as a flanger and that processed sound into the second one.

Still, I get more enjoyment playing music than, hualin' musical gear around
