Just to be opposite-man, as much as I like "The Office" now, I never watched it during its initial run because I COULD NOT get through the intro music. Just the worst in every way. I only tried 2 or 3 times and what I heard and saw during the intro, I was out. Couldn't even get half way. It was a couple years after it ended that I caught a rerun in progress, and I was like, "Wow, what's this? Really funny!".

I’m not sure if it was posted earlier, but Yoko Kanno’s composition “Tank”, used as the opener for the ”Cowboy Bebop” anime is killer.

I'm sure if you are an Office fan you may know this, but Float on was going to be the original intro... I think it changes the vibe of the show a lot lol, kind of glad though they did its original theme think it fits better.

I used to be a guitar/bass/backline tech. I was working with the Marshall Tucker Band and we were touring with 38 Special. One time during soundcheck, 38's bassist, Larry Jungstum (RIP) broke into the theme from King of the Hill... He nailed it.

From that time on, whenever I did soundcheck on bass, that was my go-to!

Love, Love, LOVE this theme. When we binge watch multiple seasons of shows, my spouse likes to skip the opening sequence where possible. NEVER on Northern Exposure!

As far as bass lines go, surely it's hard to beat Barney Miller theme. Great line, great tone, great time.
All these other ones might have good bits, but as an intro. ..... none better imo

Didn't see this one but could have missed it.

TAXI Theme song Angela by Bobbie James. This video is the whole tune. Like it better than the part on the TV spot. Very fun to play on Bass.
