got a favorite TV show intro?

This was my favorite opening theme as a kid

obviously the best of those themes, but there's still

the first time i watched dark shadows, i was home sick. after that, i used to rush home every day to be there at 3:30 to watch barnabas and quentin. i even got a signed picture of jonathan frid!

I was an insane TV junkie as a kid growing up and it would be impossible to choose "a favorite". But just as a reference point, some of my favorites intros would definitely include CHiP's, Magnum P.I., A-Team, Airwolf, Miami Vice, Sanford & Son, The Muppet Show, Buck Rogers... man the list could go on and on lol. I absolutely LOVED TV shows back in the late 70's through the 80's.
Oh man, the Airwolf intro theme is killer, loved that show.

Sad story about the helicopter that was dressed up to play Airwolf: it was a Bell 222 that was later sold to a company in Germany which used it for air ambulance services, and was lost in a crash along with all aboard.

On a happier note, the Screaming Mimi helicopter from the show Riptide is alive, in great shape, and serving as a firefighter in CA, still has the Screaming Mimi name painted under the cockpit window.

I have liked quite a few TV themes over the years...nothing current comes to mind :poop: .

This is always the first one I think of

Here's another

Favorite Trek theme

A few years back I watched the run of BSG several times and really started loving the background music which is laced with leitmotifs that evolve over the course of the show. This is my favorite track, especially the opening section through about 2:06. This section feels like it should continue into a full epic symphonic composition...and I am somewhat saddened that it doesn't

Here is how the passage used in the opening sequence of episode Daybreak Part 1., which essentially marks the beginning of the end of the series and shows you what "paradise" and the lives of some of the main characters looked like before the fall.

You probably won't get it if you're not a BSG fan. But when I see the galaxy on the TV and hear the passage begin, the first thing thought that pops into my mind is, "No, I am not ready for it to end again."

I prefer this version, with the zoom jump to Jack Lord on the hotel balcony. Hawaii Five-O is the epitome of awesome 70s cop shows, with possibly the greatest theme and intro sequence ever.

Thats the Illikai hotel and I've been there many times. I've not been in that suite but I've been close.

Two facts:

1. the Hawaii 5-0 theme is the main song for the Univ. of Hawaii football team
2. Jack Lord has a life like bust at the Kahala Mall near Macy's.
