Got my GK MB Fusion today!!!!

Got my Fusion in today from the RMC Memorial day sale. I can't wait to plug it in and if it sounds like my RB 1001II then I will have replaced two amps with this purchase.
Im curious how it stacks up to the 1001 since I sold mine to get ready for an MB Fusion...I kept my 2X12 Neo and getting ready to order soon!!
Just went into the recording studio last night. Took the line out from MB Fusion and used only that as my signal. Sounded great and worked like a champ. This little guy is the bee's knees.
To me they sound like the same amp voicing with different thingys you can use. I was hoping it would sound like the 1001 and I think it does but with two channels and tubes. I still love my 1001 and am on the fence about selling it. I need to do more side by side comparisons. Overall I'm happy with the fusion and got a KILLER deal on it. Just got a wicked deal on an Uber 4x10 too! I'm a lucky guy.
My mb fusion is officially on order and will hopefully come in late this week, i will be running it with my gk 210 and 115 neo cabs. If it gets here in time i will gig with it this weekend...
by the way has anybody tried carrying this in a laptop bag? im wondering if it will fit, i know it comes with a case but im looking for something with a little bit more room for cables and maybe a pedal or two...

It doesn't "come with a case," but the optional carry bag has two compartments:
one for the amp, one for cables etc.

gotcha, the couple i had seen were with the case, i guess i just figured it came with it...
Sure does. In my bag I have a 20 foot lead cord, 6 foot amp cord, power cord, foot switch and cable. I could fit a boss tuner pedal for sure.
Yeah, in fact it's the same size as the amp portion, so you can literally carry two of these amps in it, or cables and such with one, plus, there's a small outer zippered pouch which is big enough for ear buds, pocket tuner, pics, plugs, or other small misc parts.
The only thing I don't like about it is it is not real easy to carry it in your hand, because the strap can't be adjusted down short enough. I rarely sling it over my shoulder (which is what it's designed for, and works fine as), so it's a teensy bit inconvenient in that sense. I'm just gonna' put a shorter strap on it and call it a day.
man i cant wait for it to get here, it shipped on friday, but has to make it from california to memphis...
I just did this - switched a US model from 115 to 230 for Europe works great but be warned it is TWO jumpers that have to be switched - not one (I did the same on an MB200 and that had only one). I assume one for the power section and the other for the preamp. Takes about a minute once the lid is off.
No instructions under the lid or anything but the proper connections are marked on the circuit boards.
Terrific amp - I managed to try a Streamliner before as well as an RH450 and the Fusion clearly won out for me as it sounds really, really (really) good for upright as well. If playing only electric, it would of been tougher as the Streamliner sounded excellent for electric but much less distinct for upright than the Fusion (IMO, YMMV etc) - and I felt like I could get reasonable close to the 'rounder' character of that amp with one of my Ashdown ABM EVO II's if desired. I liked the extra features on the RH450 but prefer the Fusion's tone by a wide margin.
Will see about reliability as I start a 15 date tour tomorrow and it's going with me...

Not a purist set up at all: 1930s Pfretzschner aluminum upright, Presto Ultralight strings (aka "Eurosonics" - I like them and they are way cheap here as they are made in Poland - about 1/3 the price of Thomastiks) with both a Schaller magnetic & a TM (fairly similar to a K&K bass max) piezo pickup and will use either one or the other depending on the room and the feedback situation/volume needed - the steel core Prestos keep both options viable and I like the tone with both though quite different. Run it with an fdeck pre (the variable high pass filter being very useful) as well as a Fishman dual parametric DI (being able to isolate and cut or boost very specific frequencies can be a lifesaver...) Cab is a Schroeder 1212L - an ACME B1 on small gigs.
