I thought I answered this question by email but I’m probably wrong. Sorry.
I honestly think both cabinets are fine.
They are both suitable for your use, but only you know what kind of sound you are looking for.
Both have power, definition and a warm sound.
It depends on whether you’re looking for a speaker with more attack or more depth.

Ktopper, you may be close to correct about the NFs. The NFs are fairly new and most of the GR Bass cabinets sold in the states have been the AT series with a few of the wood cabinets.

GR's distribution system in the past had some shortcomings. They revamped their distribution network earlier this year, and we are starting to have dealers with inventory.

I have an NF115 on order and expect to see it in the next few weeks.
I currenty have an AT212 cloth front and had the previous AT212 metal front. (They sound the same. The cloth front version weighs a few pounds less and has no tolex.) I have not tried the AT210 yet.
I would say that almost no one has had both a 210 and a 212. The GRs were too hard to get and you were lucky to find one cabinet. Most people seem to have a 112 or 212.

Now with the new distribution network in place, you might be able to find a dealer who has a 210 & 212.

I've asked to GR Bass support what was the difference between the 212 and the slim. It was a year ago, at that time the 212 was 900W and the Slim was 700W.

He replied:

"the woofers are different but same sound.
So the best seller is the slim although the difference is in the rear port of the slim and frontal port of the 2x12.
In terms of sound, there are very few differences so if 700w can be enough for you or if you prefer the reduced space of the slim."

I would choose the slim if I was you.

I got an email from GRBass and see their website has been updated. Both regular and slim are now available in either 700W or 900W so it's a preference for smaller footprint or front vs rear ports.

Advice needed!
I recently was in our large used musical instrument shop to trade in some unused gear.
There was a GR 112H that I immediately fell in love with. I've owned a lot of gear and was a recording engineer back in the days of 2" tape so have some pretty solid experience. I like the GR better than most other gear I've owned (including Bergantino) and it was bought for smaller gigs and rehearsals.
For my rock / R&B gigs I normally use a GB NeoX 2x12.

I just had emergency abdominal surgery and won't be able to play for about 1 month but need to plan.
The GB cab will be too heavy to carry.
The question: Does anyone have experience with another light weight 1x12 that might pair well with the GR?
Obviously I should just buy another GR but they seem to be unavailable right now.
As far as volume matching, I could use an SWR head that allows volume control for each cabinet.

Have you ever know anyone to have an ostomy bag?
Me neither but had emergency surgery (diverticulitis) and had one for 7 months. Definitely the most humbling and embarrassing experience of my life. I actually played a gig with the bag under my shirt.
Had reversal surgery 2 weeks ago and am healing up pretty well.
And the GR bass 112H? Love this cabinet. the tweeter is voiced for a pretty high end presence like a studio monitor, but a little amp EQ makes it sound like a really nice bass amp with incredible clarity.

Did you get the 212 Slim?

@Jim C Glad to hear you're on the mend. The ostomy bag sounds like no fun at all, glad it's in the past. My grandfather had one. That was a long time ago, and I was pretty little so I just knew that he had one.
I hope to get the 212 Slim in a few weeks.

I didn’t notice a huge difference in tone between the 2, I’m generally right up against a wall wherever I play too. The weight is negligible, but the size was enough of a bonus for me to go with the Slim. I sold all of my other 2x12s including the AT212, which also sounded amazing so neither is a bad decision IMO.

I don't remember if I've read this here on Talkbass, or in my Email discussion with GR Bass support, but I'm certain they said that the NF cabs sound exactly like the AT cabs.

If you have to choose between ordinary carbon and natural carbon, your only concern is aesthetic (and perhaps ecological, since NF cabs are supposed to be more environmentally friendly).

I can take extra pictures of my NF cab from all the angles you want, including close ups to see the texture, if it helps you choosing, just ask…

That was what I was told too. They sound the same. The difference is in color and where they source the panels. The speakers are the same.

I join the discussion to clarify this question.
The AT and NF cabinets sound almost identical.
You can only hear very small differences if you make an A/B comparison.
If you listen to the two cabinets at different times I honestly don’t think you could identify these differences.
In general, however, these small differences make the AT series slightly more open on high frequencies and thus bringing the NF series closer to our wooden series.
