Anyone here scoop up the Ken Smith 6 they had for 1200 today? Man, those guys are all over the place on prices. I missed a 4001CS a while back for 1399. Yet they have a Warwick Thumb BO5 for 1699!

need to do some heavy negotiations in hollywood, found a modded highway one jazz i like, but the price is the same as the mint nos one i bought a few years ago
Bain acquired GC back in 2006, more than 4 years after Mitt resigned as CEO in 2002. Calling it "Romney's firm" is disingenuous, since Romney had nothing to do with the acquisition. (I didn't even vote for the guy, and here I am sticking up for him.) It was also over 7 years ago, which is hardly news at this point.they don't negotiate anymore since mitt romney's firm's acquisition. i was told that to my face by a gc salesperson.

Managers can and do negotiate. I got a discount on a used Am. Spec. Jazz without even asking because a sales rep screwed up the order badly and didn't send it out like he was supposed to, resulting in a 1+ week delay.
It's always easier to blame others when you have to tell people "No" than it is to be honest. Rather than just telling you that he wouldn't give you the discount you wanted, it was probably easier to say, "Look man, I'd like to, but The Man won't let me..."![]()
Yeah, they have it every once in a while. Same with MF...
GC Orange, CT...Mesa Boogie D180 $599.99
Still not as good as when they sold me my 400+ for $399 but a good deal nonetheless!
I've tried every promo code I can find that's out currently and none apply to the used site.![]()

& they do not negotiate on used stuff period.
if you ever go to gc hollyhood you have to check out the enormous vintage room downstairs toward the back of the bldg. they have some gems in there. guitars & basses.
Call and negotiate. Despite them saying they will not haggle, they will. If the person you get doesn't, call back and talk with someone else. Just be reasonable.
