Does anyone live near here? I spoke on the phone and while the condition is something I can live with, a rep told me he had a feeling it was a return, which makes me suspicious.

I figure I can post this now. I was daily searching for a used bass on GC used site. I would probably search every few hrs during the day. A few Saturdays ago, a used Mike Lull popped up. It didn’t even have pics yet. I called and asked the guy to email me pics ASAP. It was such a great deal that I knew it had to have something wrong with it. Turns out, it was perfect. I quickly bought it. Here is my new to me Mike Lull V. It has an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and Seymour Duncan pickups. It has a birds eye maple fretboard. All for less than $1600.

I wish I didn't have so much on my plate right now, because I'd like to check it out.
and I abhor waiting around for the UPS driver, which is a necessity now with the way GC ships their gear (can no longer set the pickup to will call)

Still, IMO the best cabinet ever made! I have two of these and they are pleasure to gig with. This is a great deal as well. Condition looks great.

The Genz Benz site is still alive, and says its 53lbs. I owned a pair of the 1x12 versions - good cabs.

I had one of these a few years ago.
I'm a pawn shop junkie and one of these had just come on to the floor.
It was in new condition and had $149 on it (Uh...... oops! I actually find a lot of deals like this.)!?
It was a little big and heavy (for a 2x12) for me to keep, but sounded good.
Yes, I flipped it. Locally for $400.

^^ that b40 is a near duplicate of mine. i've considered selling before, but it plays too nicely to let go. mine has a lovely ebony fretboard. definitely recommended at that price.
Agreed. Hard to beat that B40 at that price.
