I was a bit nervous because it was listed in “good” condition, plus I’ve heard plenty of horror stories about GC’s awful packing of basses.
It finally showed up yesterday, was packed well, and is in relatively great shape!! Obviously used, some minor scratches and a few doinks, but over all is clean!!
The only surprise, which couldn’t be seen in dark photos, is it has a Kahler tremolo bridge!! I need to get a bar for it, but I’m actually excited about that, i’ve never had one. In meantime it feels amazing, just like my workhorse ‘84 Ibanez, and I can see this getting a lot of work!!
I’ll link to NBD thread here once I have a little time w/ bass and write one.

Just wanted to say thanks again!! I love this site and community for cool things like this; never heard of these basses before, now 2 weeks later I have an amazing instrument for $200 shipped!

Wow- that looks nice! I hadn't heard of these until now, either. What a nice deal, too. Enjoy playing it.

Heads up on what seems like a hot deal. X-posted from the do not buy thread, just in case:

Took a gamble on an EBMM at 699 and its a full on fake. I'm returning it today, so it'll probably pop back up immediately. Here'e their item description -

Here's a link to a thread I made about it in the regular Basses forum - EBMM Experts Assemble! *** is this?

I used to work at a GC a long time ago and I had seen some skyline Laklands brought in that were altered to look like US ones, but I've never seen a fake Stingray. That was before the Sterling SUB line was out, so maybe it's easy to do. It looked legit from the small photo, at least! Anyway, don't be fooled!

Sorry, I'm misusing this thread, I know it's for hot used deals, but I just had to chime in on this.

It makes me beyond angry that a chain store operating at this level of incompetency puts really good music stores out of the retail market. All of the local music shops near me rely on lessons and pretty much just that.

This bass is an obvious fake when you have anything more than the single crappy picture they posted.

It's either still listed now, or has been relisted by them. That's very frustrating.
