Guitar Center used site

Just have them ship it to the store closest to you. It’s free that way and you can check it out there and show them if it’s damaged or poorly packed. This way you don’t risk any $$. I’ve done that a couple times, I don’t trust GC really but they do end up with nice gear occasionally and their return policy is bulletproof in my experience.

Has "shipping to store (instead of home) results in free shipping" been your experience? I have something in my cart and changed the shipping address from home to my local store and there was still a shipping charge.

When I've had problems with buying used gear from them, my first call is to the toll-free number to, if nothing else, get the shipping charge refunded, then I deal with one of my local stores. While sometimes disgusted with how poorly packed some of the gear has been, I've been treated very well by the stores to either make it right or process the refund.

IME I've never gotten free shipping when buying used gear. Cost has been the same whether shipping to home or a store. Shipping has always been pretty cheap though if you were to compare it with shipping out the item yourself. The only time I've gotten free shipping was when there was a promo/event going on for free shipping on used gear.

As far as having any issues with used purchases. I've never had any issues with GC stores refunding shipping if either it got damaged in transit or if the piece of gear is defective in some way. Only time I ate shipping was if i just didn't like it or didn't 'bond' with whatever I ordered.

I actually can’t be sure. I’ve not had to return anything but I did think shipping from store to store was no cost. I’ve only done it twice I may not have realized the shipping fee.

They only do free shipping on used gear when there's a promo going on (still doesn't matter if in store or home).
Shipping cost are pretty low though - here's some of the ones I didn't recently - pedal, bass guitar and tube amp. Looks to a standard shipping price amongst the categories (for an amp that is low as $100 to an amp that $2000 it'll be same cost $37.46)

Here is what seems to be a great deal on a great sounding and playing (if set up good) bass...

The Guitar Center in Goodlettsville, TN has this MTD Kingston ZX5 for $929.99. These are great sounding and playing instruments, especially this model that has USA Bartolini pickups and preamp. If I didn't have one of these I would buy it. This one is an earlier Korean made with the black stained (see through finish) on the headstock.

Quote by Bob Gallien about this amp:

"The Goldline amplifier is actually an excellent amp at an incredible price. It used the power amp from the 700RB with out the horn amp, and included a great preamp. It was inexpensive because we made it in China and sold it only to GC in high quantities. It was part of the Goldline series and by far the best product in the series. The whole Goldline concept was dropped when GC started bringing in their product line from China called Acoustic. The Goldline 500 is a ridiculously outstanding value that is rarely seen in this world.
RAG"

I just bought another of the 3-rack-space solid-state heads I already use, or I'd be on this. I believe it weighs 24lbs. :)

Fender Pro 215, earlier model with non-neo speakers and steel grill. I have two 410s of this model, and they just kick soooo hard.

I lust for this cab, but with all the cabs I have, I can't possibly justify it.

Yeah it's heavy, I think 107lbs, but it's price-dropped from 699 to 499, so I thought it was worth posting. :)
