Looks like someone at GC marked this Ray35QM as a Ray 5 and is selling it for $349.

I'd buy it if I didn't already have one.

I've noticed this happen a few times, good deals can be gotten.

In any case, someone else noticed (hopefully from here) and snatched it up.

Yeah, I've seen it several times with the SBMM Rays because they don't have writing on the bass indicating the specific model. Unless you know the visual differences, mistakes can happen.

That store always seems to attract cool used gear! I used to make a point of visiting when I'd have a business trip to the area four times per year.

In it in Cleveland ? and also If I buy it have it shipped to the Guitar Center near me do I have to buy it, I know sometimes they're not always in the the condition they say their in..

yes it's in western suburb of Cleveland (near airport). It is my closest store - I guess I go in there so often that I don't feel there is always cool gear. The higher priced basses are hanging really high so no worry about inappropriate demoing by random customers.

Agreed, it's great to get to try it. If you like it they get to keep all the packing trash. If you don't, you return it in the moment explaining whatever problem it has. If it's not as described and you still want it, you can tell them and maybe you get a discount. I got 15% off a guitar because of some light belt buckle rash that then I was able to buff out. It's always useful.

I was probably thinking about the Mayfield Heights store. I did always hit the North Olmstead store on my way back to Chicago. Absolutely fell in love with a brand new Classic Stingray 5 once, but figured my wife would never let me in the door if I spent that much on a bass without negotiating it at home first.

You can have it shipped to a store or to your home and you have 45 days to try it out. If there is something wrong with it, lobby for getting credit for the shipping charges before you return it, or ask for a discount as Blille suggested.

I generally have used gear from GC shipped to my home as my sales tax rate there is slightly lower than any Chicago suburb with a Guitar Center in it.
