Hence why I posted it hahaI'm about to buy that Mercalli someone grab it quick!
I just saw that one an hour ago and was admiring it like a nice art piece. That's even more relic than Fender Custom Shop "Heavy Relic" treatment! This is a new color I haven't seen before:

I’ve bought and traded a fair amount of used gear over the years from GC and have saved probably over $10,000 instead of buying new at full retail. Further, it was all top line professional gear that comes with a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee. Extended warranties are available for a modest cost.I couldnt find the other GC thread, so here goes a new one.
Two bass deals:
Carvin SB4000 - $499.99
Options from what I can see: black hardware, no inlays, tort guard
708-563-0529
Fender Sting sig. - $469
upgraded SD pickup (don't know model) and hipshot bridge

A good place to avoid when the rent money is in your wallet….LOLGC is a dangerous place. On my second visit ever, a used (but only barely, it still had the factory 9v in it!) Ibanez SR370EF followed me home.
Our GC has at least one employee who plays bass, & seems to know what he's doing with respect to setup. He personally sets up all the basses in the showroom, if I understood correctly. He set up the mentioned Ibanez, and I haven't had to do a thing to it but keep it tuned.
If any of our local GCs bothered to setup their basses it would be very dangerous. Every time I go to check out an instrument it's in such poor shape setup wise I'm not even tempted. I went last weekend and there were 2 Spectors, a Sadowsky, an 80s Rick, and quite a few new Fender Ultras. All in barely playable condition.GC is a dangerous place. Lollipops too! (Drool.) But the original tuning machine screw holes look pretty foul.Fender MIJ Non-Export Aerodyne with EMG pickups and hipshots for a great price:

The local GC here has an on staff guitar tech with 30 year of experience setting up instruments. Obviously he doesn’t have a workshop on site for major repairs or restorations, but, was able to do 3 custom set ups for me on basses I was considering to buy or or not, and didn’t. The charge? $0.00.If any of our local GCs bothered to setup their basses it would be very dangerous. I have bought a number of things off the GC used site. I always call to ask specific questions, sometimes ask for additional pictures, and I'm never worried when I pull the trigger because the returns are so easy.
Recently with the addition of the gear adivsors you can always get free shipping and sometimes a nice discount or at least a pack of strings thrown in. Worth the phone call.
