Be careful, twice now I've bought something from the GC used section and they took my money to pay for the item then said they didn't have it in stock, so not only did I not get the gear I wanted (was also trying to time it's delivery with something else I bought) but then it took like 5 days to get my money back.

And another time I bought a reverb pedal from theM and it came to me in pieces.

Sorry to hear that. Personally, I've never had 1 single issue. I've purchased amps, drums, PA stuff, pedals.... never anything misrepresented or damaged on arrival. This includes tube amps. The only guitar I've ordered was new, so it was in factory packaging. I actually just this evening picked up a Squire Bronco for my son for $90 all in. We'll see how that arrives, but I have no reason to doubt it will arrive as described. Do you call and speak with a person, during store hours, and have them confirm the item is there, look for defects, try it out, etc? Hard to believe it has happened twice. I've probably ordered 20 different items from 15+ different stores in the past two years.
