Honestly, I've never played one. I've played one of the Legends which I think is a step up and I really liked it. I would buy this just to try if I needed another bass, which I need like I need another wife. I think it would be a pretty easy flip, make maybe $75 if you didn't wanna keep it.

I had a Performer for a short time. The 'long reach' needed by the neck and body design made it a no go for me (as basically any Spector or Warwick) but for someone taller it's going to be fine. $125 is a good price to give one a try and as Pokey mentioned, can be a pretty easy local flip for $200-250 if it's in OK shape.

I hear ya. I've never played a Squire that I cared much for but they've all been in Pawn Shops or GC's so the set-ups were probably sketchy. Never played one that an actual bass player owned.
I've looked at this $140 5 string a few times, the logo looks different so I'm assuming it's older and I've heard that's a good thing when it comes to Squire.
