My CZ97B's are the perfect pistol for me. They fit my hand perfectly, point perfectly and target reaquisition is immediate. Did I mention I love these guns?? One of mine is basicallys stock, the other is converted to single action and tweeked out for run and gun. I'll be picking up a third one to convert at the next gun show. I need to take some updated pics of the CZ's. They are no longer stock and pristeen :)

I'll be picking some sort of .308 carbine for the second half of my carbine class. I shot the first half with with AR Match Rifle and it took somewhat of a beating :( Too many rounds through it's VERY expensive stainless barrel :hmm: I'm seriously considering an M1A bassed gun, possibly the Springfield Armory Socom. I want to be able to kock over the heavy metal plates..........even if I just graze them :) I also need rails for lights, lazer and red dot sight.

in all seriousness, i had 2x as much work cleaning up all the "OMGWTF its a trollz!@!!!" posts as i did cleaning up the actual trolling.

I've got to pick up a CZ one of these days, I keep hearing nothing but good stuff about them! Had a fellow IDPA member shoot rings around me with one earlier this summer; I tried his and loved the feel.

My daily carry is a KelTec P3AT (I'm not always in a spot where I can afford to be "made") or occasionally a S&W Model 60 (.38 Special only) I got from my Grandfather. There's something comforting about having a gun passed down from him protecting me and mine...

I do occasionally carry my 92FS in a Carrylok holster, but it's too big to easily conceal. Even though MN does allow for open carry with a permit, I prefer to avoid the hassles that come along with it.

The Steyr is a great gun but I wouldn't use mine for combat shooting. They would need mods for grip and mag release. The mags are very hard to stuff in a hurry as well. I have the same issues with Glocks. Of all the "plastic" guns, I feel the Steyrs are the best made and most reliable, just look at the internals. The safety is very clever and works well also.

I've yet to try a Steyr, but I know they've got a solid fan base...sounds like it's for good reason!

I used to own a Glock, still may pick another one up. They are darn reliable, I'll give them that. I'm actually very intrigued by the Beretta PX4 Storm at the moment. I'm a Beretta fan, so there's so automatic love there, but I was extremely pleased with the feel when I tried one.

I think the next purchase will be a 1911, though. I tried the Springfield Lightweight Champion Operator and would have bought it on the spot if I'd had cash in hand. That will become the daily carry once I get it, I don't care if it's going to be a pain to conceal! It was the best shooting .45 I've ever touched.

There's quite a few compact 1911's and 1911 based guns available now. Carrying a full size can be done but I'm not built for IWB holsters and heavy guns. I got no ASS to keep a gun belt and holster up :hmm: :p Plus, it's too damn hot here to wear all that for about 10 months out of the year. I carry a Maxpedition bag or a Bianchi fanny pack.

People scoff at the Glock .45 GAP round but in the little 1911 based guns, I think it's perfect. Glock should come out with a 1911 based mini 1911 :ninja:

Without further ado, here is my latest...

This little fella has been lovingly called “The Munchkin Blaster”, a moniker given by one of my loyal clients. It came here from John Harrison’s shop after a beavertail weld-up, and then spent a few months in the safe waiting its turn. The pistol’s owner told me to essentially do what I wanted to, use the best parts available, and make it just a bit different from the other pieces in his impressive collection. Lastly, it has to measure up to his high standards and discerning eye. Hopefully it will. Here’s a few pics and scattered comments:

20 Line Per Inch Checkering provides a secure grasp:

The Smith and Alexander Magwell's checkering was pointed up, and terminated above the lower edge. A slight Round Butt treatment puts the pistol comfortably in the heel of your hand:

The Magwell was also blended to the frame and filed open:

In the UK the only people who own guns are farmers, bank robbers and cocaine dealers...

I've never had one and don't want one. I do sometimes ask as a party conversation the question "If you had to own a gun by law then what kind of gun would you have?"

Never really understood the Amercian obsession with firearms amongst otherwise respectable people.

Tell me why some of the photos of the hand guns have a knife in the picture as well?

He makes those knives and as far as a can tell the wooden parts of the handle too.
