Bought the Ampeg BA 110 yesterday afternoon and played it two hours in a row last night. No major GAS for me so far but……….
I will try an Ampeg BA 110 today and if it’s working flawlessly, I’ll bring it home. I was looking for a small combo with big balls and since I tried it,I kept looking for one.
I’m also putting together a p bass for me, don’t know if that counts :

Nice. I've been down the camera trail before. That can be a pricey habit too. I got into automatic wristwatches last year. That may be another reason for my lack of bass-GAS... lol.Basses I got.
The GAS I did get was put out by . . .

Fujifilm X30, remarkably now more expensive than when it was discontinued as people are getting the itch for real cameras instead of cellphone pics the way they're walking away from downloads to LP's.

Fujifilm X100S, as much X100 as I can afford right now

Fairly rare X-S1, their foray into a 'superzoom' camera, fixed 24-400mm zoom
My dad was a wedding photographer and I grew up around cameras and B+W darkrooms and Kodachromes (later VELVIA ! !). I discovered the Fuji digitals and was instantly sucked in by the old school, metal ergonomics with dials and switches. It takes me completely away from music, not a bad thing at all: JW could be an obsessive dullard when I slept and ate bass most of my life. Their design language reminds me so much of the Canons and Minoltas and Nikons I grew up with.
What do you think of that Serek? How is the pickup?I made a big professional move this year, big challenge, pressure, unknown. I think I've coped with unrestrained GAS
A couple not shown here were basically catch and release, a few trade ongoing as we speak and now I'm in the process of scaling down the collection from 15 to 10 pieces (which is wayyyyy too many but let's aim at a reasonnable target)

Yes it has. The TT 800 is so versatile I no longer crave an all tube amp.If I may ask : does this amp also stopped your GAS for any kind of tube amp head ?

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.Yes it has. The TT 800 is so versatile I no longer crave an all tube amp.
I'm not a fan of heavy effects on bass. But I saw Ian Allison's breakdown of that pedal on IG and am a little obsessed with it. It's seriously legit. My wife has long dreamed of a kitchen remodel, and demo is gonna start in a few weeks. The cost is astronomical, like as much discretionary money as we could possibly save in 5+ years. It's a stretch for us.
So in January I decided this would be my Year of No Gear. It'll come back around in my favor, eventually. The rest of our lives , she'll never be able to say that something I want is too expensive.
But that damn new MXR Synth won't get itself out of my mind.![]()
