Halfway through 2025. How's your GAS?

No GAS here. Well, I did buy a bass, but it was such a insanely cheap bargain I had to buy it, it was only 35 Euros. The seller had by mistake ordered a lefty bass from Thomann and had forgotten to return it and just wanted to get rid of it. That will be an emergency backup bass I can toss in the band trailer.

Just one bass this year thus far. Any more action going forward will be to the downside. Nothing comes to mind in regards to wanting anything. I've got it covered... (Said one man.)
No bass GAS but I'm always looking for the new and unusual instruments - like this $43 WWII bugle found in fabulous condition at an antique store.
While most bugles of that time were made in India, this one has BOHEMIA stamped on it.
Never owned a horn before and it's a great challenge to create any kind of clean sounds with it!

I participated in a few horse trades this year to wind up with this Spector NS-5XL. Surprisingly it's been my only bass purchase this year. I am eyeing another NS-5XL but I have to let go of some basses first. I'm also working on a mod build which will hopefully be complete by the end of the summer but I've had the donor bass for a couple of years now.
Opposite of GAS over here. Moving out around 6 basses and almost half of my pedal collection (which is substantial). Will leave me with my two short scales (all I'm comfortable with post-arm-surgery), my old Precision that I played for many, many years, and just the pedals I actually use consistently. Trying to get back to the place I was about a decade ago - happy man with one bass, a solid amp, and a few pedals. Slimming down is the name of the game these days - have lost 60 lbs since January, and spreading that inspiration over to gear. Got a baby on the way, so making room for her.
I’m just as gassy as ever but I’m not acting on it as much as I used to.
I bought a pair of cabs because they showed up here on TB at the right price (and I sold a guitar to pay for them) and a couple of preamp pedals from a fellow TBer , also a situation where I snapped up a good deal while it was available (and I’ll be selling some unused pedals to pay for the preamps).
I’d love to keep buying instruments like a drunken sailor, as I did for years, but budget and space constraints have me acting a little more responsibly. …for the moment.

Re-re-re-assessing after thinking I overdid it. Only a couple of 'expensive' purchases were made in the past year, the rest fall under two categories: a stupidly cheap deal too hard to pass up, or 'when's the next time you're going to find one of these ____ at a reasonable price' type deals. Because I usually look for unusual, uncommon things.
Additionally, liquidation is kind of a nonstarter, due to my offbeat tastes. The market for cheap weird stuff is small and those shoppers are cheapskates, like me!

I feel this one. I do have a couple fretlesses that I'm actually really happy with but the urge for a fretless StingRay may never go away. I don't have $3k to indulge this, though, and for some reason the EBMM shop only seems to offer pau ferro for the fingerboard material, which I'm not a fan of.
