I just paid for a bass that was expensive by my standards, so I am cool. An MXR Synth Pedal would be so fun to have, maybe I make one a Christmas gift to myself.

As a non-drummer (I used to have a Remo PTS kit with a Dynasonic snare for rehearsals at my house), I always preferred the Vic Firth SD-7 Whackers (maple), but I don't think they make them any more.

I just snagged one. I had been looking for an envelope filter pedal. This apparently does that and so much more. Itāll be here Saturday so I guess weāll see.
I have 15 instruments. Once I bought the MTD 534 I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I haven't bought a bass since.

So it has been rough I added a lot of gear to my collection in 2025 but currently, I like the new yellow Mark basses that just came out, but do I need another bass? I got 35 
I also looked at amp heads, but the band has gone to silent stage no stage amp shows. So the new KZ IEM made for bass players ( that is the gas hook) may be what I get next. I have till Sept to figure out when the family goes BD shopping

So far in 2025, I've bought 5 and sold two, with another in the consignment shop. I should sell a couple more but I'll wait and see. I might buy a better amp, not that I NEED one.
I picked up a Mesa D-350 and plan to sell my old TCE amp (cheap!!). I have 3 older basses that I bought off CL and cleaned up/repaired that have to go. I am seriously tempted by a Marusczyck shorty P in which case, the Rob Allen Mouse I don't really play anymore is going up for sale.
I thought I had GAS in check but now I have this Player II Modified on the way with a great deal from Franklin Guitar Works. Been playing 30 years and it's my first 5-string!
I bought a new cable (World's Best Cable, Neutrik/Gotham) to replace the old Monster that died and a new set of SIT Powerwound strings. Unless a screaming deal pops up for a decent practice combo, I'm set.
