Are we talking like Gibson Gold Top gold? Because I do really love that color.

I like talkbass blue on this bass better than pelham blue. Surf Green is one of my all time favorites though, and a color I've been planning to add to my collection. It would take something pretty extraordinary to move me off of it.

edit: I also like talkbass blue for the color thematically for a talkbass special edition.

OK... question for all: do we darken the blue to nail the TB color or stick to Pelham? Also, do we ad binding on the Blue?

I'm fairly certain we're going to run all 3 of the vote getters in terms of White Tux, Rootbeer Metallic and TB Blue... so anyone getting in on the deal will have their choice of the 3.

Well, I'll be getting the rootbeer metallic, so I may not be the best to answer, but I think a slightly darker blue to match the TB banner makes more sense, and I think binding would look killer, AND the other two TB specific models would have it, so it would fit.

I agree. LP gold top type gold would be an amazing color on this bass.

Pelham Blue with white binding definitely !!!! Inlays would be nice touch too, but not a must for me!

Just to clarify... ALL of the colors discussed are going to have binding, even the TB blue. I should have had that in the poll as an option, but it seems the whole "talkbass special" run should have bound bodies. I'm somewhat committed to ordering the White Tux, Rootbeer Metallic and TB Blue no matter what, so the only question is whether we also do the Metallic Gold (with cream binding).

Remco is here at our shop today, heading to the airport around 4pm. I'm working on the black K4 to be recorded in both pickup configs so that we can post for comparison. Fingers crossed. Otherwise me and Josh will have to do sound clips... (I'd much rather have Remco do them, hah)

Re. The sound clips... I have a fairly good idea of what Remco is capable of, but I for one would like to request some finger and pick style playing, and not just all slappity poppity noodling. And a few darker clips showcasing what the tone control is capable of as well. :)
