Has anyone tried ReedJames custom pickups?

I will give it a chance for sure. I would think and hope that I will learn that Talk Bass is a stellar community. I have done a lot of reading. And yes there is a lot of good information. For now I am a bit shy about starting a new thread I do have a lot to learn so bare with me.

Well, I think that TalkBass is generally a great community.
This thread got off to a rocky start, and you will have major arguments and disagreements with people from time to time, (as is the case with most all internet forums) but overall, you should have a positive experience here if you stick around for a while.

And btw, fill in your profile! :hyper:

Well, I'm here to say I actually do.

Awhile back I had Jim build me a couple of replacement pickups for my ailing Aria Pro II SB-R80. So, what do I think of them? I've done tons of recording since then and my clients marvel at the tone. Sure, the Aria itself has a lot to do with that, but the pickups are certainly significant as well. Jim's attention to detail was excellent.

I was turned onto him by the person from whom I purchased the Aria in the first place. He was a bass/guitar player and collector and he positively RAVED about Jim's products. (And this was from tons of experience comparing over twenty different replacement pickup products.)

So, now I am also passing on my endorsement. You should really give them, and him, a try.

Thanks The SB Aria Bass lot of the pickups in them bases are starting to go bad. they are encapsulated in epoxy and can not be repaired. The Aria SB bass is a stellar instrument. I have an old 1979 SB 900 will never part with it

That's a nice looking cover you did for that.

I'll probably be in touch for some custom CNC work.. and I see you are going to offer fingerboards. :bassist:

Yes we are currently designing a CNC that will do Finger boards, also cutting multiple scale finger boards as well. But it will be next year tell we will have that completed .as we are preparing for the Christmas rush now. But if demand dictates we will for sure jump back on the finger Board CNC

As was stated, the clarification was made in posts 67 and 69.
I'm not saying that your skipping over it makes you worthy of being called a troll, but it isn't surprising that someone would make the statement.

This is all so damn childish, just ignore it and move on with your life.

He is one of my customers that gave his honest assessment of my product and it seems you tried to discredit him.

It seems that you are contributing to this rhetoric - So Please just stop.... Thank you for your co-operation.
