Has Gretsch been lying to us for over a decade?

A story of cynical misrepresentation....

....and also a complaint about Gretsch not knowing how to describe their pickups

Based on that new photo, I am going to bet that it did originally have mini humbuckers and that at some point the factory switched them out and Gretsch was never informed. They would have no reason to keep checking them and no one discovered it until now. And here we are.
Wasn’t the photo with the actual hum bucker of the one pick up version of the junior jet? It’s been a couple years with the two pick up version. has anyone actually found a hum bucker in the two pick up version?

The factory was probably like...."they need TWO pickups now? I know...lets just break this one into two. Problem solved."

Not sure if anyone else has filed an "official" complaint yet, but I just did in Canada. Specifically with the Competition Bureau Canada (govt) about contraventions to the Competition Act [Part VII.1; 74.01(1)(a)] and the Consumer Packaging and Labeling Act [Sections 7(1) and 2(b)]. Specifically filed against Long and McQuade as the dealer importing, advertising, and selling these items rather than FMIC.

Nothing may come of it, but if something does, I'll post back here. :) Thanks @LowEndLobster for elucidating.

Maybe they just made a mistake.
Maybe they forgot to change the spec sheet.
Maybe they just don't care.
Either way it's just some pups on an electric bass and not a big deal.

@LowEndLobster thanks for the awesome, respectful post, and for asking folks to be cool.
You work, as always, is very valuable to most bass players!
