Thanks! I've been following that thread as well. That might be a bit over-kill for my basic needs. I don't plan on becoming a pedal collector as I am old school. I am happy with a good sounding bass through a good sounding amp, like the old days...volume, bass and treble! I am thinking a 1spot 9v wall wort but then was confused about Broughton's comments on 18v for "more headroom". I could always use some of that :bag::help:.
I wouldn't worry about operating it at 18v. It's fine at 9v.

I'm guessing it has an op amp in there and that would clip at something under half the supply voltage. That might be an issue with a really cranked up preamp placing it post preamp. 9 VDC would be fine before the preamp, which I believe is a better place to filter out the sub noise. I'm not so sure on the single supply op amp details, dual supplies will run out of gas about 1.5 V below the power supply IIRC. It's a spec that varies by the type of op amp.

hmmm..

registered but not approved. direct link to the graphs via PM or posted here would be great...no time to really poke around.

What graphs do you want, specifically?

Greenboy doesn't allow direct links to posts on his forum. I'm not approved yet either.

Dave has a real life, he'll get to approval when he gets to it. In any case, his site got hosed by a few of the photo hosting outfits over the last few years and a fair amount of content went missing.
