History Channel - Vikings

Ragnar said he was going to draw The Blood Eagle on his back..so yes, that means he is going to die!!! Do you honestly think after all this that he can let the man live?? No...he must die. It is not gonna be pretty.

I heard what was said, but I also saw in the preview that there are at least a few days that have passed and we see Horik disputing with Ragnar what to do with Borg, then we see Borg scheming with Horik to escape. The preview also had something about a totally unexpected turn of events.

Horik is already pushing Ragnar to go west and colonize, something that maybe Ragnar doesn't seem as enthusiastic about anymore. I can totally see Horik and Borg coming together against Ragnar at this point. I can also see Horik agreeing to the execution of Borg. I just think the Borg character has more to offer, so I will be surprised if he is killed off.

Check the preview for next week on the History channel website. Looks interesting for sure.....

Where do you see previews on the web site? Gosh the one thing has been stinky about watching on line has been the total lack of previews. I've had to go looking for them mid week on the internet.

Can you send a link to me?

This may shed some light on why I think Borg survives his blood eagle fate. :D

Ah next time i will look on youtube!

They cannot kill Ragnar, he is the show. So maybe Borg gets away but ....then how will Horik and Ragnar fair then? Ragnars men would never let Horik get away if they know he had betrayed Ragnar but yet in season 8 Raganr and Horik are off to England again.

What a mess it will be if Borg gets away...I say he dies

This is what raced through my mind last night....

Horik and Borg escape, Siggy tags along with them. They come back to fight Ragnar, Lagertha shows up to fight with Ragnar once again. Rollo is stuck in the middle due to Siggy, but I haven't thought out who he sides with.

I agree with you though, Ragnar is not going to die.

At least not until Aella throws him in the snake pit.

Yeah, but Rollo looked pretty intense when he went to go kill Borg's men - intense like he wanted to b-slap Siggy. I'm guessing Floki "let slip" to Rollo about how apparently King Horik has a confidential little game going with Siggy. Floki still owes Rollo a good killing.:) So, Rollo may not feel stuck at all and will cast Siggy to the wind. And it's not like Horik is going to make her HIS next wife.

I agree Rollo would probably not have any problem ditching Siggy. Historically he does become a king I think of Denmark. I wonder why they have not produced any children yet? Rollo is young and I am not sure how old Siggy is supposed to be but she already had 3 nearly grown children so she may be beyond child bearing age?

Rollo does have children according to history so maybe he ditches Siggy and finds some sweet young thang?

I saw that history signed a 3rd season already! :) I am quite sure Ragnar ain't gonna die this season or next. They cannot kill the main character and historically he still has some years left to live.

Horik does not "escape" because he is not captive and he and Ragnar go back to England according to the spoilers I've read. So I don't think (Borg and Horik) are going any where together. Horik would not chose Borg over Ragnar, he needs Ragnar. Ragnar now has all of Borgs ships and more men will come. Most likley from Lagertha! Wait until Bjorn and Ragnar find out she killed her husband because he humilitated her!!! That is a moment I cannot wait to see!

This means one of two things could happen: Borg dies, or he escapes (does he escape with his wife?? Or is she left behind to bear his son in Kattegat??) My guess is if Borg is fleeing for his life, his pregnant wife is really gonna hinder his travels. I coudl see him just leaving her there, he is a whacko and he doesn't seem to care about her too much. Not as much as the skull of his first wife at least!

Agreed! I think Siggy is in deeep doo doo with Rollo! Floki said he couldn't keep a secret! I swear Floki is about the only highly moral and trust worthy dude there! I love Floki!! I also love Thorstein he is loyal too.

I don't know...but I don't think Rollo knows Siggy slept with King Horik...but when he does..he will seek justice...
and I think Lagethera will rule her dead husbands land!!...and soon to be colonized with Ragnars people

Ah...maybe the look of rage on his face was gearing up to lead the men in beating the snot out of Jarl Borg? Notice that this time Rollo did none of the beating? He sat there, serene and calm as could be on the bed, watching Floki and Thorstein have their fun with him. I found that interesting.

It is a sign that Rollo has come up the ranks a bit since his down fall. The look on his face as he watched them beat up on Borg was sort of...i don't know, half creepy, half perfect inner peace.

Yes!! How cool it will be to see Lagertha have a place to rule. I do hope we see that and that we see her and Ragnar become allies in the western raids.

I looked up a bit about Hedeby. It was not too far from Kattegat. It is now part of Germany and was utterly destroyed in 1066. We are well before that in this show and Hedeby flourished for 300 years or so. No sign of a Lagertha being the Governess of it but I was looking to see how close it is to Kattegat and although all I could find was the sea of Kattegat which was in Denmark, the two places may have been within a few hundred miles of each other. That seems like a long way to go on foot and even by horse. But maybe we will indeed see Lagertha and Ragnar's villages become an alliance? I am hoping so!!

Here is info on Hedeby:

A Norwegian skald, quoted by Snorri Sturluson, describes the sack as follows:
Burnt in anger from end to end was Hedeby [..] High rose the flames from the houses when, before dawn, I stood upon the stronghold's arm After Harald's sack of Hedeby, Slavs plundered and again destroyed the town in 1066. The inhabitants then abandoned Hedeby and moved across the Schlei inlet to the town of Schleswig.

As you note, within scarcely a minute he goes from looking totally jacked to serene. Which is why I'm thinking he WAS pissed with Siggy but had no time to deal with her. He's fairy calculating when he doesn't let anger or jealously cloud his actions. I'm guessing Floki busted on Siggy/Horik. Rollo watching the Borg beating calmly: he was calculating deep thoughts of revenge and how different people had turned on him in his life. If he's smart he'll not let Siggy know the jig is up for a while - might as well play her and Horik for every penny.

Very smart idea actually to let the little game continue between Siggy and Horik! He could really play this one out, even catch them rolling in the hay together and just out right kill Horik :)

Are Siggy and Rollo actually married or just a couple?

Come to think of it, that is how Siggy and Rollo ended up together right? She warned Rollo of Earl Haraldson's intentions to trick him. So geez, you know if all that secrecy around what was really in store for Borg hadn't happened, would Siggy have warned Horik of the plan to burn Borg's men and beat him to a pulp?? That might also be going through Rollo's mind although he still doesn't really know the reason for her alliance with Horik.

I think Rollo's time is about to come and The Siggers ain't gonna get a piece of that pie once again! When will the gods smile on you again Siggy???? We do not know
