Hiwatt 100W Custom Slave with a Sansamp BDDI?

I'm looking now for a better preamp (any advices by the way ?)

You could use the sansamp Leeds character pedal... which emulates the Hiwatt heads... Or an Alembic F2-b

i use a PBDDI and run it into a Behringer head i use as a slave, and it works perfectly fine. Plenty of oomph.

that's cool, but i was never a fan of the sansamps. but of course, that was almost 2 years ago when i said that, and since then they came out with the character pedals, which are all fantastic and do have oomph. but given the choice of a hiwatt or a sansamp, i'm taking the hiwatt every time. wish i could take a hiwatt...they're not cheap in the usa, but i'll probably get a leeds pedal down the road
