Thanks... The Fisher 500B is all tube and the Marantz 2275 is transistor. I also have a mint McIntosh MA-6100. The Fisher is my favorite...Nice old Marantz receiver. My older brother has a similar if not the same one. It's from the early 70's. That is an expensive hobby. My other older brother is into Macintosh gear. Has vintage preamp/tuner and tube power amp. I love the real hardwood cabinets and glass panels they used on old audiophile gear.
Ha!!! I had that experience as well, but got a vasectomy after one came along, so I am still eating three meals a day, so far. She's only 15. Yikes.Sleeping with my wife is pretty expensive also. Ive ended up with 3 kids so far. I may be doing it wrong ?

I have bottles of wine that are each worth more than a new Fender American Standard.
Wine can be a very expensive hobby.
Cocaine collecting.
My advice is have a real doctor do it. It usually works much better that way. I imagine if we fed the kid three times a day, how much it would cost us. Sheesh.See theres were I went wrong, 3 and I still havent gotten snipped.![]()
Try playing drums!
gotta replace those heads all the time, and that shite is expensive!
And cymbals, too. You hit them all the time with sticks and they break.
and sticks are about $6 a pair, and they last maybe 1 practice & 1 gig.
and you gotta have cases for each drum, etc etc etc.
lots more expensive than bass!

I have 15 and 17 year old boys and as I type this I am watching the Disney Channel with my 6 month old daughter.
I put it off (glad I did now!) but finally manning up in July.![]()
I'm dipping my toe into the water there. First difference I've discovered - you can play a bass more than once.![]()
