Honest Feedback On My Tone Needed! MM Sterling

I consider myself a Fender Guy....And I really love the tone, sound and playability of my 73' Jazz and My Custom Classic Jazz bass...But lately, My Musicman Sterling has been most of my love. I love the way it plays. In Fact...It feels like it was built just for me. I kind of feel like I sound better on this bass because It plays better for me..if that makes sense. I shot this video so that i could hear how it sits with the band...and....I actually really like the tone! This bass might even become my main squeeze!! I even think it sounds a little Fender Jazz Bass Esque...but still with that MM Flavor. I Have the video below...your thoughts and input are appreciated.

Disagree with the treble. It sounds dope the way it is.

I don't know that we could be very good judges of the volume based on the video, it may have been very different in either direction in the room.

It sounds sweet to me. I'm a sucker for the MM sound though. I have long since ditched my jazzes.

Ha....I totally agree with the too loud assessment!! I'm not a big fan of trebly zing to be honest. I think it can be great for some genres and sounds great for some players...but not my thing. In your defense...these strings are almost a year old lol!

Gracias....I prefer a less 'zingy tone' and if i boost anything, its lows and high mids...but only very slightly.

You sound great, your bass sounds great, and your band sounds great.

I was a Fender Jazz guy for many years, until I discovered the Musicman Sterling. The quality of the bass and the tone just blew me away. I recall thinking that this is what I had always imagined my bass should sound like!! I played it for a few years, but then moved on to Stingrays because I find that the neck fits my hand better... and I'm loving it.

I really don't think that pound for pound, dollar for dollar, that you can beat a Musicman bass.

Yes! I really am impressed with the build quality and design features of my Sterling!
