Hoobastank's bassist?

Actually I dont think they're all that bad!!! Incubus rip-off?? I doubt it. Incubus has changed there sound so much in the last couple years, compared to their early stuff.

And who has to say that if you own a high end bass that you have play chops or exotic stuff.

Are you saying if you own a bassic P bass or Jazz that you have to play punk, or blues, or Jazz.

incubus ripoff? NO... They're ripping off Refused, get it straight.

Actually the guys from hoobastank are good friends w/ the guys from incubus. Hoobastank used to be a funk-jam band. They had horns and everything too. The horns section from hoobastank actually played on one of the earlier Incubus albums.

and if you listen to the breakdown thing on their radio hit, its a blatant copy of the intro to a refused song off "the shape of punk to come"

311 and Jimmy Eat World have been around and had quite a following for a loong time, and I'll admit that Incubus and Hoobastan sound similar now, but if you listen to both bands older stuff they were completely different. Hoobastan used to have a saxaphone player and were a whole lot much more of a jam band. And the guy is a decent bass player.

Hey everyone just wanted to put in my 2 cents.I have shared many a show with hoobustank (or hoobastank to spell it the new way),& it was known around the area that you open for them,you never wanted to follow them.Their shows were amazing & they had rabid fans.They have been working as a band for almost 10 yrs now.they are all really nice guys and have worked very hard forall this.Also the reason why they sound like Incubus is because they used the same producer for their debut album.I can't say that I am not insanly jelous of their good fortune but I wish them all the best.Also if you really listen to their album markhou is really a solid bass player

311 has been a band since the late 80's.there nothing like the other bands you named.theyve achieved underground sucess so good.They go mainstream for a month every few years but that doesnt mean they everyone loses intrest of them.and yes,there bassist is so much better than the bands named.he has a good solo in "nut symptom".
