I think someone might have tried to mod it at one point.

If the pots aren't original, that thing will lose some of it's vast collector value. Better check that carefully before purchasing.

Frankly, if the strings were placed on the proper tuners, it would work.

I see no "proper" tuners there.

... it's strung up incorrectly, The "E"/bottom string looks like it should be on the first tuner.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the stock E tuner wasn't to be trusted with a B?

Reasonable, but nope.

Seems obvious: the modder cut a new nut, drilled the headstock, installed the fifth tuner, and then figured, why bother moving the E and A strings, which would be too short to reach the new pegs anyway, without uncoiling them from where they're wound around the stock tuner posts?

The only other choice would have been to buy new strings, but that's crazy talk.
