And have someone pick them up in Kalama I guess.
Hit up the Burger Bar while you're there and say hi to Elvis's table at the Columbia Inn.

108 or so here today. No wonder it felt awful.
Unhealthy competiton!Yikes. 42.2°C – you beat us by over a degree, yay healthy competition.
Thank you shore breeze! It feels normal again this morning.
It's crazy that we think it feels normal, and it's still well above normal. By comparison, it's fantastic. I got on the bed last night and the bed itself was hot. It was a bizarre feeling.Mmmhmmmm. I agree buddy. Feels like a normal PNW morning today.

All kinds of weird things happen to people when it gets that hot. I don't know how people lived in places like Kuwait before air conditioning. Mostly they didn't, probably.Still going to be unusually hot this afternoon, but at least it won't be so hot our air conditioning can't keep up. Yesterday was something else... we had to set it for 70* to keep it at 75*. (I really don't do well in heat anymore)
It's 91* here in Sacramento. Trying to see if I can find the pair of mittens I packed with me when I moved from the east coast, it is so cold.
I have quite a few plants in containers that are needing daily watering right now. Some are part of a little herb garden and some are just decorative. Fortunately the restrictions never go down to the level of forbidding watering plants in pots. It's usually about sprinkler system usage. I could probably let the petunias die but that seems like such a small amount of water compared to what everyone around here is putting on their lawns. We have been watering the garden far more than we usually do this time of year. This is late August weather, only hotter.
Ugh, I grew up back east and spent most of my life there. 90* in high humidity is way worse than triple digits here. It's 90+ here in Western NY with the humidity near 50% and I hate it.
Looking forward to snow at this point.

From the thread title, I was expecting this:
It opens up with some tasty solo bass work, at least.![]()
I do NOT miss the heat and humidity that I grew up with in Ohio. No A/C in our house there, either. I also don't miss the cold. Being a climate wimp is awesome! It's 90+ here in Western NY with the humidity near 50% and I hate it.

Except when it isn't.
