One of my dogs was apparently imported with hookworms. They don't survive on surfaces for very long in the very hot, dry weather. So this is a very good thing, since I have three other dogs. All four have been treated, and will all be treated again in two weeks to catch any stragglers, but I can rest assured there's far less possibility that they'll pick it up again from the lawn in this weather. The record high in Seattle is 103 in July 2008 or so. That almost went down yesterday. If it doesn't today, it will tomorrow. Trees are getting water now, and the vegetables and flowers will get water when that part of the yard is shaded this evening..
I suspect any vermin living in the walls of our house are now well cooked. Extra hot weather as pest control. I am working hard to find an upside.
It is actually staying cool in the basement. But if it doesn't after a while, we may take you up on it.If you and C want to cool down in some a/c, come on over.
Yikes buddy. Be careful.
I hope everyone is/was OK at the track and field events.

Yep. 112 here today, 115 twenty miles to the east in The Dalles.25403586[/URL], member: 209138"]I'm here to tell you that 109 feels a TON different than 103. Wow.

As I've thought about it further, he'll probably be just fine. I survived two-a-days in Ohio with 90 degree/99% humidity weather, so I imagine he can survive mellowly pedaling around for a few hours.
My favorite ride. I rode the HHH 27 times. Most years it does live up to it's name.Back in the 80's I rode the Hotter n' Hell Hundred in Wichita Falls TX. It didn't live up to its name that year topping at 95 F. I was used to training in 90-100 degree heat of West Texas, but still, riding that long for time was brutal.
