[Blues Bass 2]

My super Squier . Nordstrand Big Blade single coils and an Audere 3 band classic pre . Ash body and Maple neck , good woods . It's kind of heavy at ten pounds and the neck is kind of big but feels really good and plays great . It probably sounds a little better than my number one , Sire V3-5 with Nordy single coils , they both sound and play awesome for what I want .

Hmm. It's easier to decide on my #1 but choosing #2 is pretty tough. It's a toss up between at least 3. My purple sparkle Adam Clayton Fender p bass, my sherwood green Adam Clayton Fender j bass and my Fender Modern Player (Chinese) j bass; but the Modern Player wins by a nose hair. It's comfortable, beautiful (refinished) and has what I consider to be the perfect tone.

This is not, and never has been my number one. However, I have put more hours and gigs on it than any other bass, as it has solidly been my number two through four different number ones, and I did play it quite a lot. My dad was the original owner. Still has the music shop sticker on the back of the headstock (Ace Music in Santa Monica, CA).

My #2 is a Peavey T-40. It's a beast of a bass both in weight (12 lbs.) and output.

The only reason it isn't my #1 is due to my preference for the simplicity of jazz basses. I also like the punchiness of my Schecter J-4 a bit more.

Man I love those Peaveys.

My #2 is my Yamaha BB605. It's getting more attention lately because it has an impressive 5th string. I have also modded with Delano pickups, Delano preamp, passive/active push/pull buttom and a passive tone. I love it. Not the best sound by itself, but it's amazing how it sounds in the mix.

So, in this thread, I want to see your #2. Which bass in your collection is a really nice but, because your #1 is so special to you, it gets less playing time and is shown off less than it deserves? And why is it your #2?

The red one's my 2 but gets played the most. It's my practice at home one. The brown is for gigging and recording, only because it cost the most and looks the best.

My #1 will change from gig to gig depending on what I'm playing or what my mood is. My #2 is a Fender CS P with a J neck and flats. This one goes to every gig, so as often as not, it's also a #1. Either way, it's "Old Reliable".

That refin looks great - and I see you had the good sense to get the matching headstock, which that kind of finish absolutely requires.

The Watt is still #1 while I dial in the new Mustang.
So I guess the Mustang is #2.
But I'm playing the Mustang more because it'll take years of play to get broken in, so it's really #1 and the Watt is #2, as in "old reliable".
I dunno.
Dano is definitely #3.

Well if i may, i have only two basses and they periodically are #1 or #2...right now the G&L tribute L2000 is my #2 and the Sterling Ray being on #1.

The Sandberg are really well built instruments and they sound great too. It definitely holds its own against my Sadowsky.

Excellent choices! My #1 is my Stingray and my #2 is my L-2500. I admit that lately the gap is closing, but there is still a clear #1 and #2.
