How did i get myself into this?????

I also find out that i'm the only guy who actually wore my copy of this rediculous shirt that the bandleader bought for the backup band. Picture a black bandanna. now picture seven of them sewn into a t-shirt.

Thanks for that funny and well-written account, IvanMike, BUT...

you are a master of understatement. Those aren't seven bandanas and a t-shirt. That's an electric friggin', full-boat abalone paisley tunic that would have made Marc Antony proud! Et tu, Brute?

Realizing that I might be asking the wrong individual (or grasping for relevance in a chaotic world), what does the shirt have to do with Christmas or The Mamas & The Papas?

Maybe you can talk the other band members and get them to wear earth tone and warm-color t-shirts and then change the band's name to "All The Leaves That Are Brown".

Just a thought.

Bluesy Soul

humor. pure humor. I'm actually timing my bow out for maximum effect. with the double pregnancy of the singers i feel no real pressure at this point. but i'll bail gracefully if he really gets out of hand. :ninja:

sorry to ressurect this but this was too good................:smug:

the band is on total hold due to singers having kids. the leader did find a new drummer who is actually outstanding.

So i get an e-mail "hey see if you have 1 - 4 pm march 5th open for a possible gig i'm bidding on"

i'm like..."dude! that's a thursday during the day, ever hear of work?"

the reply."no it's ok, it's march 5th 2011"

:p That's a winner. I thought one of my bands held the record for scheduling a gig 10 months in advance. I agree, keep this thread going, it is very entertaining. And I'm going to see if the other guys would want to wear shirts like that at our next gig next gig...we were thinking of wearing red Snuggies, or making loincloths out of the ShamWow (stupid basic cable, can't get away from the infomercials. I want to buy a Tweezee and the electric ab belt for absolutely no reason at all).
