I was 14 in 1984 when I found a off-branded Cort X bass @ a Sears outlet store for 69 bucks. Played the hell out of it til the mid nineties when my guitarist bandmate sold me a G&L L2000 - he didn't want that Cort seen on the same stage as him!

So yeah - I've been playing 28 years by the math.

I started playing bass in the school jazz band in '73. Gigged the same year. Started playing bars at 17 (ya 17) I'm 54 so 37 years if you count school performances. Been on stage acting and singing since I was 8 so 46 years of stage experience. The stage was a family affair in my childhood.

Started in 1977 because we couldn't find a bass player and I was the lousiest of the 3 guitar players we had.

I took a break for about 15 years to buy a house, have a kid, etc... and picked it back up in 2002. I still love to play.
