BASS AMPS:

Peavey MAX 158 w/Eminence Neo 4ohm bass speaker, 15watts - Practice amp

Peavey MAX 110 w/Sheffield 4ohm bass speaker, 20watts - Perfect for acoustic jams and small coffee-house venues

Peavey MINX 110 w/Sheffield 4ohm bass speaker, 50watts - Just a loud little amp

Peavey BASIC 112 w/Mesa-Eminence 4ohm Neo bass speaker, 70watts - Great for electric jams with drummers in basements or garages

Genz-Benz NEO-PAK 3.5 head and Avatar 210 cab w/tweeter loaded with Madison Knights for a "cut through anything my friends have" 350watts

Peavey BASIC 112 w/Mesa-Eminence 4ohm Neo bass speaker, 70watts stacked atop a stock
Peavey BASIC 112 stacked atop a custom-made LOPO cab w/10" Eminence 8ohm Neo bass speaker for another 70watts for a combined 140watts - this is my rig I keep set up in my band-room

Genz-Benz ML-200 head and Seismic Audio 210 cab - 200watts at drummer's house so I don't have to cart anything more than a BG case

I have my 220w Ampeg BA115HP which works perfect for all the small to medium size venues in the Miami area. I use my Fender Rumble 60 for just about everything else. Sometimes for practice. Sometimes I bi-amp. Sometimes as a PA. Sometimes for a Keyboard. Sometimes I plug an acoustic guitar into it for an awesome warm tone:)

1- Ampeg Svt-4 (in the shop. It may never return, had a funky odor upon opening after failure.)
1- Ampeg B3158 (gig rig, mostly)
1- Ampeg B50r (rehearsal rig, I I can ever get another I want to stack them and use them for gigging)
1- Crate GT15 (given to me that I use for practice here in the wood-shed) usually running the speaker out into...
1- Seismic (sp?) Audio 115 (I picked up cheap for wood-shed practice)

OK, so I see most of you have at least two amps. So, here's the deal

I have SVT-3pro and SVT410HLF as my main rig. I also have BLX '15 cabinet for small rehearsals. I'm considering a small change - '15 BLX cab for Backline 112 combo - to have two amps (one for backup) and two cabinets (i can connect SVT to '12 speaker - with caution, because of speakers low wattage) ... and I always loved the GK tone (not that much as I love Ampeg tone)

pros:
Two amps, one smal and portable. Two different sounds.
cons:
Money. Lower wattage.

What do you think?

I have 1. SWR LA12. Because I'm poor, spend what money I do have on basses, and most importantly I just play for fun at the moment, and can't justify a gig-ready rig that would only be used for practicing anyway. If I decide to get back into a band again, then I'll invest in a good amp, until then, mine will suffice (though I may get a second practice rig to keep up at my gf's so I don't haul mine back and forth).

Behringer BX1800 - got this to get back into playing. Now lives at my wife's classroom so that she can jam with the kids at lunchtime.

HH VS Bassamp - first amp I ever owned. Not the actual one I had when I was 14, but I wanted one again and by the magic of eBay one arrived. Actually a nice little amp with great tone.

Carvin BX1200 - Valentine's Day present for my wife and her main workhorse gigging amp.

Bass Pod Pro into one channel of a Carvin DCM2000L - Rehearsal space amp, lots of flexibility. Other channel does vocal PA.

Ampeg SVT-CL - I wanted one.

Greetings from the North,

1 Yorkville XS800H + Gator Rack bag

TC115 + Dr.Bass 2260 at one rehearsal space

TC115 + Fender 412 + Garnet 15" tube combo at recording/rehearsal studio

The cabs get mixed/matched or used alone depending on whats going on.
